feels like the C on his chest is just a formality at this point . Jonathan has truly embraced being a flame and is carrying himself like a captain in every way since coming over . i would feel very comfortable with the decision if they made it this afternoon .. js

How many years since the Flames won a home opener/season opener? 10+ years?

Flames 4-1 win tonight. Avs lost some key guys and Flames will likely look to push the tempo with their new guys.
4-1 Flames tonight the streak has to end one day.

I believe it's ∞, if I recall correctly. Something close to that anyway.

Might as well be... was Kipper vs. Luongo. Phaneuf scored for us.
That all seems like ages ago.

I think it's got more to do with Kipper took the team to the finals right away so like Iggy he became someone people found hard to hold a grudge on.
Markstrom came in a short year where the team massively underachieved and started the year with a head coach that should have never been head coach. He was the team's MVP until he got hurt and just could never get that back when he came back. I'm still not convinced he was close to 100%.

But, again, none of that actually matters. Kiprusoff always looked drunk in the preseason.

Didn’t look great in his last 2 games with pretty much a full lineup.
Like you said, it could be meaningless. But it could also be the end of the world.
Stay tuned.
