You thought the UCP was bad before? Kenney was an ideologue, Smith is a flat earther level of crazy that makes De Santis look like a lefty.

This is why you shouldn't rail on Trudeau and hope he gets kicked out. You never know who will be their replacement.
Do you see, now, how silly this is?

It makes sense...Kenney was kicked out by the clown faction of the party, now the clowns are in charge. Y'all should never have voted for this UCP "experiment" in the first place, I believe there were warning signs...

Agreed. Have Ukrainians heard of Jamie Sale and Theo Fleury? They could eat some humble pie if they actually see what real oppression looks like.

Gays getting beheaded in Saudi Arabia, women being murdered in the streets of Iran by the police, Muslims being ethnically cleansed in China and Myanmar, Palestinians dealing with modern day apartheid.... but the real injustice in this world is the unvaccinated in Alberta had to order Uber Eats for 4 months instead of sitting down at Joeys with their friends.

This has to be a new record for Smith. First day on the job and you implode, and in the process sewer any chances your party had of winning the next election.

She could single-handedly take down three different conservative parties though. That’s pretty impressive, whether you like her or not!

Are you forgetting that Kenney wasn't ousted by liberals? He was kicked out as UCP leader by by the fringe far-right crazies in his own party. Those same people are getting exactly what they want with Danielle Smith.

Advice to the Alberta NDP...don't say a damn thing, Smith is doing all of the work for you. Just let her talk.

There's a lot going on in there, but my best TLDR is that she's done gofundme(s) to fund lawsuits again Gov't of Alberta, using Rob Anderson's firm. Now as premier, she can presumably direct settlements of said lawsuits?

Presumably the Justice Minster would have some oversight to prevent that?...oh, wait, that's Tyler's job.

Maybe she is building up a funding effort for her upcoming onlyfans page.

It would be quite ironic if some of the less out to lunch UCP MLAs crossed the floor and joined the NDP.
“Quick everyone! Same drill as the last election only this time we’re calling it “uniting” the left. I know it seems hypocritical but it’s our only option otherwise we’ll have to go out and get real jobs with accountability!!”

Sadly she'll likely still win the next election. Albertans will not pay attention and will still bring up things like, remember when the NDP gave away X amount of dollars to something that wasn't great"? All while ignoring that the UCP have done far more of that, with worse intentions, while making things more expensive.
Any reasonable conservative will probably just not vote because for some reason voting for the lesser of two evils goes against their sensibilities.
There's literally no way anyone could justify supporting a ghoul like Smith. The UCP has been difficult enough to support which is why most of the anti NDP types were flooding this thread prior to the UCP getting elected, and made their way to the federal thread instead. I know, I know it's all the "crazy lefties" in this thread bringing up legitimate issues that are the problem.

Who do you guys suppose the “UCP for a day” contingent voted for? My money is on Smith, for this exact scenario.
