I guess Kadri was they key.

If you look down the list of salary cap rosters that have won the cup, the common denominator is 1 dominant Centre, 1 dominant D man and a goalie who is hotter than a thousand suns.
Unless Jack Campbell is going to show us something he's never shown anyone in the NHL, the odds of the Oilers making a deep run are limited.

The Oilers are missing 2 out of 3.

Honestly, I actually don't mind the idea. $9/month isn't great value but I'd gladly pay $4-5/month for some quality behind-the-scenes videos from the Flames.

ya, exactly, no way Nurse is a dominant D man, Campbell I think if he can be mediocre/average in the league the Oilers will make the playoffs but he has to be hot at the right time for them to have a long run.
There is nothing they can trade for that will become a number 1 D between now and when the playoffs start unless they traded Drai, which we all know would never happen.
I think Oilers and Flames will fight for the top spot in the division this year, I hate to say it to be honest, but that is what I think.
Do they have what it takes to win the cup? I am still very doubtful it'll happen during McDavid's career in Edmonton, because I just don't see those guys trying to play a 200 ft game that helps win championships. Can't do it because of 1 player and can't do it just by scoring a bunch of goals without any sort of commitment to defense by their top players.

But its all on the Conna and Pissy. And they need to fix their blueline.
I think that the Oilers are going to rank as one of the biggest disappointments to the media in NHL history.

I would hope that was a "pick a Canadian team to win it all" segment. Love the Flames, but they can't be a favourite (and clearly the no-goods love is laughable).

Oilers have launched their own Streaming service for $8.99 per month. Hopefully NHL teams don't follow suit, this kind of stuff should be free to the fan base.

If you buy this, can you move up from being a Tier 3 fan to being a Tier 2 fan?

You just know they'll get 20,000 subs too. Oiler hype train is as bad as I've ever seen it and fans will lap up anything they sell.
There will be an ultra premium tier of subscription for $21.99/mo where you get a personalized voice recording from a player of your choice, excluding McDavid or Draisatl of course.

For that price, you should be able to personally throw your jersey in the face of the player of your choice.

Gene Principe and propaganda minister Bob 24 x 7 for $120 per year. Obviously shows like love island called “Katz’s couch” and “waiver wire survivor” will get airtime too. There will be a medical show hosted, produced, and starring Mavi called “McDavid’s miracles”, as well as a home decorating show called “colours of Connor”. “Legal Leon” will document how Draisaitl’s on ice transgressions are actually for the benefit of society. “For tier 1 fans only” will be leadership lessons from Kevin lowe. “Video for dummies” will be a limited series where Staples shows people how to turn their TVs on; it’s limited because staples doesn’t have any other insight to provide. “Dress for success” will be hosted by gene principe in various costumes. Guest stars will bring their own sartorial style to the show; sweatpants and good shoes never looked so great! “Pounding water with Bobby” will be an investigative series/game show with bob nicholson where guests will be forced to drink water from around Edmonton, but with some additional flavour treats added! You won’t want to miss this as guests try to determine what is in the water! “Capping with Keith” has the lesser Gretzky showing how to manage your personal finances like he managed the salary cap. It’s true! We’ve managed to get the friendly giant and mr dressup back on the air for “coaching with Woody” where a hand controlled mannequin presents coaching strategies. Bet you can’t tell the difference when the real coach steps in! Finally, “plumbing the depths with Ken” will empower subscribers with a special show where part time GM/plumber demonstrates how to go up and down like a toilet seat.

If they're broadcasting the game and doing full-on shows then the discussion changes. This seems to be $9/month for highlight packages and Bob Stauffer hits. Yuck.
