2 years ago today, Nadal won his 13th French Open title taking out Djokovic in 3 sets including a bagel in the first. I remember before the tournament the experts didn't think Nadal could win the French in fall with the weather and the roof was also closed for the final giving Djokovic another advantage. Nadal still managed to win the title without dropping a set

Bianca is coming up shortly in San Diego, but it doesn't look like TSN is streaming any of the action. WTATV will have the match, but it requires a subscription.
Rats, Genie was playing well today even though she dropped the opening set 6-3 and then was forced to retire with an undisclosed inkury (she entered the match with her upper thigh tightly wrapped).
Fortunately, there are still plenty of tennis courts close to where I live, but there's no denying that pickleball is getting more popular with each passing day...
Welp, that was a very rusty performance from Leylah today which is to be expected. Kasatkina wins 6-2 6-2 and was in total control throughout the match.

I've been following an 18 year old player from Hong Kong named Coleman Wong who plays out of Rafael Nadal's Academy.
Ranking is now in the 700s after making two F25 semifinals in Vietnam. Last match losing a 3 hour+ marathon to Vietnamese player Ly Hoang Nam, which is also a good comeback story I will tell in the future. Ly has won the most professional matches this year out of anyone, his record this year is 7-3 in Challengers and 54-12 in Futures, winning 7 titles.

this would be more worrying if the news were that Sinner woke up this morning and decided to switch to pickle. Rubin's not old but his tennis career never really went anywhere after juniors and finished with a 8–21 singles record over 7 years of pro.
I totally understand the mass appeal of pickle, with its far lower entry bar for people of all ages and fitness levels. tennis can be a big pain to progress in and depending on who you're playing with can be a lot more running after balls rolling across other courts or flying over the fence, in comparison to rally time.
the day that the sports networks start replacing tennis coverage with pickle is when I'll start protesting. I suck at tennis myself but I will always enjoy watching superhumans make it look easy.

I haven't even tried it. It just looks funny when I see people play it beside us. Not a fan of pickleball lines on courts but what can you do?
We recently lost one of our tennis courts in exchange for three pickleball courts and numerous new pickleball courts have been appearing like weeds lol. Either my wife and I get up early and beat the crowds or we live in an area where tennis is not all that popular as we never have too much trouble finding a court to play. We like to play close to an hour of tennis followed by 30 minutes of pickle as we find tennis to be a good warmup. I can certainly see the appeal of pickleball, but I still very much prefer the game of tennis.

My goodness, big upset in Florence just now as RCB takes out Matteo Berrettini in three sets with a match time of 3 hours and 18 minutes. First ever win over a top 20 player on hard court for RCB. 5-7 7-6 7-5 were the set scores (came back from 5-2 down in set 3).
