The issue with Backlund is he always has slow starts to the season and coupled with being named a captain and if we go on any prolonged losing streak he could put too much pressure on himself.
My pick is Lindholm.

I’m moreso saying you’re picking a short term guy for loyalty and being a good worker instead of looking at the big picture and thinking long term.
If this organization really wanted to build an identity around Backlund they would have done it after Gio left. The fact that they didn’t tells me a lot.

And I get that.
But Backlund has always been more important than "a 3rd liner" or a "good worker"
Huberdeau seems like a solid human, but I've never been a fan of give the "C" to the most prolific offensive player as a default.
