Oh wow, interesting. He got a new job over the summer and works from home now, but I know someone who was telling me about how he did the same thing when he took the train to work. Would just buy 1 ticket and wait for it to get checked, then activate it. I could tell he was feeling quite smart about his little scheme there haha, that's funny there's a chance he could've still gotten burnt by that.

It would be interesting if they would spend the time to figure out when you got on.

Turn on ‘subscribed channels’ and watch their mind blow.

Not sure who you're with but both Telus and Shaw have the option in their settings to only show channels that you're subscribed to.

I made a nice sandwich with a brioche bun for lunch and just at the end of the sandwich, enjoying the last bites, I get a strong taste of mold. I don't know how I missed it as I have been stung before and inspected the bun prior to making the sandwich. Just ruins the entire meal.

Ooof. That would ruin a decade of brioche for me.

God I'm glad I don't even know what the taste of mould is to recognise it.

Why is the street and path lighting so non-existent in California? Every time I go out for a walk in the evening I need to use a flashlight to see anything. Are there some bylaws for wildlife or is it just cheapness?

The pressure to go to a family get together:
Me "I don't want to go to your sisters for Thanksgiving"?
Her, in disbelief "You don't want to go for Turkey???????"
Me, "that's right, I don't enjoy any of it, ever"
Her - obviously not happy.
If someone doesn't want to go do something, or go somewhere, why try to guilt trip them? Who cares? I don't ever try to make anyone do anything they don't want to do. It's so strange.

As someone who is hosting a big family Thanksgiving dinner, don't go if you don't want to. Some people will find.it odd, but that is a million times better than having someone there who clearly doesn't want to be there.

Just start coughing. Don’t stop until they say you sound sick and should go home.

People who find it odd need to get a hobby. People should just worry about themselves. Life is a lot better when people aren’t sticking their beaks into others lives or being judgemental.

Do you care about your her enough to go to her sisters Thanksgiving dinner, something I'm sure means way more to her than it does to you?

Does she love me enough to accept me for who I am and not pressure me to do things I obviously don't enjoy?
I love her so much I would never pressure her to do anything she didnt want to do.
See how easy it is to do that in reverse?

Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to get nudged out of your comfort zone, more so than letting somebody become increasingly more and more hermit-like.

you could have just said no.
I'm honestly not trying to be confrontational, but if you guys want to spend the rest of your lives together you're going to have to make sacrifices for each other, especially when it comes to family.
