Maybe. But they got steamrolled in wpg. That’s never good

Yeah, he mentioned that Zohorna struggled. When asked about Mackey, he said that the WPG young guys looked like they were trying to make the team.

It's also interesting that Sutter mentioned having to talk to Brad before finalizing the roster. Obviously he needs to know the cap and the amount of guys the team will be carrying, but it almost sounded as though Sutter wants to look at options outside the organization to fill in holes.

Honestly. I wouldn’t bet against them doing that if Markstrom’s head is ruined.

I would have started Stone ahead of Mackey regardless of how tonights game went. Going back even before last years playoffs he's been lights out every moment he's had a chance.

Last year in his 20 games played regular and post season he had 11 pts (4G, 7A) while being able to handle 3rd pair minutes handedly.

That’s the way I read that. Think he’s pissed that no one stepped up in the winger roles. Apparently he’s not impressed with Zohorna either.

Guessing Stone in Mackey out.

Had to work, missed the game, was it a repeat of the last game?

It wasn't. The Flames were pressing, they had a lot more chances. However whenever they gave up chances to WPG those were grade A chances. You have to give credit to WPG's forwards, because they have showed a great level of finish. At some point WPG had 5 goals on 10 shots, but I can't really blame Markstrom for having a bad night.

Here are the Flames goals:

flames were a lot better and outworked winnipeg all three periods but the jets were patient and capitalized on almost all of their opportunities (there weren't many but they were ten bell) . markstrom was shades of his second round self, but improved in the third period . gap control still lacking and some key players a little disjointed . lindholm received several glorious passes and whiffed or bobbled them . so d coverage and back tracking could improve and offensively things just a little off . most issues that can be sorted with more practice and familiarity . toffoli had his best game since the regular season with two points and was dangerous . huberdeau showed flashes of brilliance and grit as he drew the ire of the jets players and fended off a scrum, and dube was a wrecking ball . zohorna struggled and we can probably expect rooney to draw in for him next thurs

Three excellent goalies! Don't forget this guy! I think he is a giant version of Kipper, look at those legs go out to the edges of the net!
