Pacific defeat Forge tonight, so the standings with 1 game left are:
1. Ottawa - 48 points, 13 wins, +7 GD
2. Pacific - 46 points, 13 wins, +4 GD
3. Forge - 44 points, 13 wins, +21 GD
4. Cavalry - 44 points, 13 wins, +5 GD
So I think the scenarios are as follows:
Cavalry finishes second and get a 2nd leg home playoff game with a win over Pacific and a Forge draw or loss to Halifax.
Cavalry finishes third with a win over Pacific and a Forge win over Halifax OR a draw with Pacific and a Forge loss to Halifax.
Cavalry finish fourth in all other scenarios.

It's fine, I'll take the home playoff game a week earlier and hope for a nice day.

Also, the away goals rule is NOT in effect for the playoffs. Having the second leg at home is still an advantage, I think, but perhaps not quite as much if away goals were the tiebreaker.
Related - if tied after both legs, it goes directly to penalties. I'm actually not a fan of this. If you've slogged it out over two legs, and an entire season for that matter, give it every chance for it to be settled properly with extra time before basically flipping a coin.

It's the CPL, these scenarios are TBD depending on how Forge does in their first playoff leg. If tied, it may go down to season yellow cards instead of PKs if that pushes Forge through.

Exactly. We are probably on the eve of introducing the brand new Bob Young Trophy, awarded to the orange team that finishes in Forge place in the standings. Comes with a Champions League spot and an automatic bye to the final.

I couldn’t find anyone for my ticket today. Section 107, but you can basically sit where you want. Let me know if you want it (free).

Lots of fun. Defensively sound performance. Late goal. Beautiful weather. Couldn’t ask for anything more

Looks like it's Cavalry vs Forge in the playoffs with the first leg at Spruce Meadows. So, see you in April I guess!

I hope you’re right! I’ve seen this before, so I’ll remain cautiously optimistic as opposed to flat out.

Was at the game the other day. Unreal weather. Game was fairly uneventful, but a great three points nonetheless!
Field was overwatered…players slipping everywhere.

I don't really know how I feel going into this matchup. Cavalry haven't looked good the last 3 months, but neither have Forge. Forge's only win against a playoff team since August came against Cavalry and that game was a complete #### show, while Cavalry have also beat Forge once in that timeline.
Given Cavalry's tendency to bottle every important game I can't see a victory. But there is a small part of me that has hope that they will. It's the hope that gets you...

I'm nervous AF for this match. I've got my reservations about Cavalry's ability to pass the Forgery test. Hope I'm so ####ing wrong.

At the very least the supporters will be in fine form come the playoffs. Lots of quality tickets left, but it should be a well attended game.
