Also, there’s very few things in hockey that are just wrong. There’s always a bunch of different ways to do things.
But wingers on their weak sides on the sides of your umbrella PP formation is objectively just wrong.

Well, that was easily the worst period of hockey the Flames have played this preseason.

Yeah - start by taking Toffoli off that unit for starters.

rasmus quarterbacking doesnt work . also lindholm isn't in his kitchen where he scores . whatever this blueprint is, it needs to go right into the bin

Let’s just be happy that this is happening in the pre-season

I was thinking about that as well. Especially since there are a lot of good options. I think Sutter might just try Mangiapane on the 1st line and on the top PP in the 3rd. I also think that he will switch back to Hanifin - Andersson, because our D just seems a bit out of sync tonight.

Road preseason game over a week before the season starts with a roster of guys not really battling for spots and a coach trying out some new things.
 Wouldn’t worth about it

Happens every preseason

People thought Gudbranson should be cut last preseason and now he makes 4M

This is definitely a preseason overreaction... But I hope Toffoli is included with a defenseman in a trade that brings us an actual Top6 RW.

They made cuts and remove some guys playing for spots from the lineup which is now mostly guys getting themselves ready for the real start in a week.
Not surprised if the jump isn't there tonight.

I really don’t understand why they don’t put them on their off side, so they have one time options. It makes no sense.
