100% agree.

Wyshynski has gone way downhill the past couple years. He gets on these super random tangents that end up being glorified hot takes.

I listen to a lot more NHL Network on SiriusXM than I do for the fan. I find it way too homer-y for my liking. I will concede that some of the hosts/analysts are a bit too Toronto-centric, but I prefer the unbiased Flames analysis.

I hope they will allow some tasteful swearing on the show. Spitting Chiclets takes it too far sometimes, but it was super silly listening to segments like "Eff I'm old" on Rogers. Just say the damn word you cowards.

I can’t stand 1/2 of what is on SiriusXM NHL Radio. They relentlessly talk about fantasy leagues. Boomer Gordon has to be one of the laziest simpletons commentating on Hockey that I’ve ever listened to. He’s basically Will Nault without the angry man confrontations with fantasy football replaced with fantasy hockey.

I subscribe to Sirius for the music, but if Boomer Gordon is on NHL Network Radio… I listen to anything else. Woof.

Half the talent on the station is an embarrassment considering it’s based out of Toronto, where they should be able to find & employ talent that actually understands & communicates the game at a premium level.

When Patrick O’Sullivan was a co-host, it was worth the subscription alone.

Now… it’s midday trash & certainly no better than the Fan 960 considering what you pay for.

Since (I presume) Boomer and company are still pretty good friends with some of their former co-workers on the Fan960 (ie. Steinberg, Pike, Rusic, Francis, etc.), I wonder if they'd get to be guests on the Fan in the future.

Probably a combination of being (finally) well rested, and he had already lost a lot of weight the final few months when still on the show. Pinder mentioned it around that time. Agreed, he looks great.

Actually speaking of their updated looks, I walked past Pinder on 17th Ave last week. He's really embraced the Covid look haha, my balding azz was actually kinda jealous. Looking like Razor Ramon with his lettuce.
