But he wasn’t aggressive in scrums or something.

Of course the dog is adjusting well... it doesn't have a language barrier.

Monahan strugged to produce at 5v5 in the playoffs but 10 goals and 21 points in 30 playoff games was never terrible for his career.
The Colorado series was probably his worst playoffs (2 points in 5 games) - but 8 points in 10 games in 19-20 playing very injured was still decent.
That playoff pace is 27 goals, and 57 points over 82 games...which actually is right in line with his career regular season pace.

He was probably our best player in that series if TJ Brodie or Sam Bennett weren't. His lack of 5v5 production was a red herring as John Gibson was ridiculous.

Do powerplay points count, or are they just for fantasy points, just wondering?

That would be great for him, I think he is going to have a great year, to win his last biggish contract and I think it’s great!
I’ll root for him for sure!

Monahan... so hot right now!
Edit: 3rd in icetime for forwards (3 seconds less than Caufield), 1 goal on 2 shots, +1 in a 4-3 game.

Maybe he’s back. Hope he does resurrect himself in Mtl.
Looks like he did well in the faceoff circle too.

I'm kinda glad Monahan got a fresh start. I think he'll benefit from being in a top-six role again. That wouldn't have happened here.

**Hot take alert** Mony will have more points than Kadri this year. More goals too.
I can’t believe we had to pay to get rid of this guy. Should’ve been Looch.

A fully healed Monahan at center for us would have made us the highest depth team imaginable at center. I watched most of the Montreal Toronto game today and he looked astute on the powerplay as well.

Healthy Monahan is a really good player. I hope he stays that way.
