So I finally found a video that confirms it's pronounced "boo-ee". The English pronunciation for buoy is 'boy', but of course Seattle would use the American, and I think boo-ee sounds cuter. Also, I've wasted waaaayyy too much time on this.

Seattle continues to screw up all the potential they had with marketing. Their uniform logo is boring as hell and their mascot makes no sense at all. They have so much potential with the Kraken name.

Here is a look at it from the front:
Mascots are for kids, and only an idiot would make it scary looking. I don't think this is scary looking. Works for me. I don't like it, but I also can't say it is 'wrong' for any reason.
This mascot confirms that the Oilers continue to have the only truly idiotic mascot in the league.
