Maybe, but that would be one hell of a third line to compete against.

Why is that funny? I think it is pretty sad, actually. This kid had so much potential.

given the rosters that felt like a flames victory , seeing as no flames d-man will be as bad as Juuso V was tonight. that Dan Vladar put up the wall gives you good feels as a flames fan

Sutter plays the roster hopefuls most because this is the preseason and the result isnt the point, meanwhile the oilers stack their top line . special bunch up there

There was so much hope for Valimaki. What happened to him, was he hurt? I do not remember why he fell apart.
It's sad.

He suffered really bad high ankle sprain while training two summers ago, and has never recovered.

might be a steady Kylington placeholder . I'd rather not lose him on waivers which feels like a real possibility

start Stone with the Wranglers bc that's the easiest move, then call him up later

He looked great initially when he jumped to the nhl and then suffered a pretty bad injury. I think it was a knee? Or hip? He missed a whole season I believe

Never been the same since. Also listening to him being interviewed it sounds like he’s been battling the mental side as well, associated with high expectations, injury, setbacks, etc.

Unfortunately it’s not looking good. I was so pumped about him when he made that first jump. I remember thinking that he has potential to be a franchise defenseman.

Edit: found this article https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...r-aspirations/

High ankle sprain initially but then a bad knee injury that required surgery and caused him to miss the next season

Even in this random article in 2020 they were talking about him coming back and winning the Calder. Really sucks how it’s turned out

Thanks. That can really be nasty. Don't know how I missed that.
