Why is it that practically everything about the Oilers is super cringy and embarrassing? From their unnecessarily scary looking mascot to kids, to the 'journalism' in Edmonton, to these atrocious announcers. There is nothing decent and respectable with them.

Hey idiot, a cross-check to the lower back is an automatic call now since last season. Not a love tap. It is an automatic call.

They should, this game means a lot more to them than Hanifin and Ras.

As it should be. They are playing for a spot and the other guys are coasting through to the season.

Between the garbage sound, whining about refs in a preseason game, and pizza pops for a year… the jokes are just writing themselves tonight.

An NHL PR team put this together, and not four teenagers who discovered Premiere yesterday.

Meloche looks decent and seems to have some wheels.

Some of the guys just don't seem to be in the right spots to get passes. Huberdeau makes a great pass to Toffoli and he fumbles it into the boards.

Milano has looked to get into spots to get passes but they look to get tunnel vision into the goalies crest, Stone had a lane to make a cross crease pass decided to give the goalie an easy save.

Yes. They are both terrible.

...and Jack Michaels looks like he's got a great deal for you on this 1987 LeSabre.

I think Valimaki didn't handle being benched very well and instead of focusing on getting better and trying to push he threw in the towel on this organization, it's the crucial time for him to show something if he ever wants a chance and he looks terrible, unmotivated and disinterested imo.

A fresh start somewhere else would be good for him.

I get the feeling Eakin sticks around and Milano doesn’t.

Problem with Eakin doing well is...where does he fit? He isn't playing top 6 minutes. No real spot for him in the bottom 6. Same questions when they signed him to the PTO though.

Eakin looks to be going through the motions.

Rooney has impressed with his speed.

Pretty sure Eakin has made a living as a bottom 6 center for a while now. He's good defensively and can win faceoffs. Seems like an ideal #4 center to me. The question is what happens to Rooney if Eakin makes the team? My thought is that they will be platooned in that 4th line spot unless someone starts playing really well.
