Streaming services have canceled specific episodes?
That's so incredibly lame.
Because of what, some Karens that didn't find something amusing but couldn't just bring themselves to turn on something else?
This present day world, man.

Spent way too much of my morning reading posts from a decade ago. I expected worse on the Annie stuff, though it definitely had its moments. Glad to see I was one of the first in on the thread. I also really liked seeing the comparisons to Parks and Rec as both of the shows certainly went through a lot of change. And as always, old threads like these bring up so many names that are now sin binned.

I watched the first 8 or 9 seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Disney+ when it first came available, but had to go "elsewhere" to get the next few. Suddenly I see them doing Lethal Weapon 2 with references to a previous episode where they acted out LW1. Mac and Dee are in blackface to play Murtaugh and his daughter, but the joke is always how stupid, selfish, and oblivious they are.
I think we've over corrected a bit too much.

GLOW came out three years after his comment, so probably not.

Peacock has ordered a movie based on the Dan Harmon comedy “Community,” bringing back original stars Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong to check in on what the gang from Greendale has been up to since the show ended in 2015.
|
Quote:
Further details — including a director and an estimated premiere date — have not yet been shared. Also unanswered is whether other key “Community” cast members, including Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover, might still make an appearance — or at least a cameo. (It’s probably safe to say Chevy Chase, who had a falling out with the show and whose character eventually died, won’t be back.)

Joel McHale tweeted this out and tagged both Yvette and Donald, so I hope that's a sign they're on board (he would know since he's one of the producers)...

Not sure if he tagged Gillian Anderson instead of Gillian Jacobs accidentally or as a joke.

The last season was so poor that it's really reduced my excitement for a movie.
But if most of the case is back that would make a huge difference.

How exactly does 30 Rock, Veep, or whatever show you or I think is superior, eg: classic Simpsons, The Office, or All in the Family relevant to the excitement of Community getting a movie?
I along with others are pumped for this. Why can't we just be happy that something good is (hopefully) happening?

Exactly!
Based on Harmon still going strong and the fact that seemingly the people who want to make this are the ones most enthusiastic about making it happen?
I think this could be amazing!

those 3 were pure gold though. Amazing string of episodes for a comedy series ... so many classics.

You know what, you are right.
I apologize.
I hope Community fans enjoy the new offerings from this franchise.
