Yup not uncommon at all. Short term weather memory is absolutely a real thing, in a few weeks we'll have snow and people will be going "I don't ever remember it being this bad!"

Still appreciated though, I was on a patio for my mom's birthday this afternoon

Indian summers definitely a common occurrence here. Enjoy while it lasts, because usually around Thanksgiving it cools down.

I seem to recall hearing that, or at least it will slow when it hits land. That will cause more problems.

Yup, I regularly remember warm Septembers, as much as I remember cold Septembers. You get both, so people tend to only remember the crappy weather when they are currently in a nice one.

I remember about 10 years ago (I think), my boss jokingly said if the temperature hits 30 degrees, he's giving everyone the afternoon off and he's treating the department to beers at a patio. It happened, and we went for beers at a golf course.

yup, I played varsity sports at U of C outdoors and remember shoveling fields in September, loads of snowy Septembers. I'm not complaining about this weather! I love the hot weather and the ability to cool down early in the evening, that is nice!

Do we really need a reporter standing in the middle fighting to stay upright to know it's a hurricane? I think showing trees is enough.
