Just a quick shoutout to Bryce Bell, he filled in very well when Sean McEwen was out injured in the very important center position and now he's going to be called on to fill the void of Derek Dennis who looks to be done for the season with a broken ankle.

Boy it's been a tough year on and off the field for the Riders. I love it.

Bell had done a really good job. Can start anywhere in this league imo.
As for as LT goes, I think Coker will be the next man up.He fared really well when Good-Jones went down on the other side.

Maybe another 30 years of mediocrity will teach them to be humble and not turn into a bunch of unhinged jerks as soon as they have a taste of success, even a tiny one
Present company excluded of course

Who else to better understand 30 years of mediocrity? Except we don't believe the league belongs to us now as rider fans did in the late 00s.

I will give Bombers fans the benefit of the doubt here as I understand fans getting cocky after winning but the Riders fans were extreme. After 18 years of futility, the Riders won the Grey Cup in 2007 and their entire fanbase started behaving like they were the New England Patriots of the CFL. Largely ignoring years of Taylor Field being half empty, their newfound bandwagon legion started chastising other fanbases for their attendance numbers pretending that they were the only fanbase in the league that supported the league in large numbers. By far the most obnoxious CFL fanbase and nationally rivalled by only Leafs and Oilers fans.

Saw this posted on the Riders fan site:
why is Calgary so good at getting QBs? everyone has connections it boggles me
It starts and ends with John Hufnagel.

John as been great, but it also goes back to Wally. Flutie, Garcia, Dickenson and now Burris, Mitchell and Maier. That is pretty incredible. 2002-2004 is erased from my memory.

Yes, F-Troop was a brutal few years and you're right, Wally was a fine coach/GM both here in Calgary and in BC. The continuity of keeping good coaches here in Calgary fosters a sense of trust and loyalty that the players recognize as well.

Even our backups have been pretty incredible, Drew Tate, Nick Arbuckle, Kevin Glenn(yes I know he's been around), now Maier.
John also has ties to Wally going back to the mid 90's I believe it was. He is one of the best talent evaluators the game has seen.

It would be pretty funny if Bo ended up in Regina. I don't really think it will happen, but it would certainly be spicy if it did.
Edit: What tvp2003 said above lol

Here's confirmation from the Argos GM.

Bo's not the QB he used to be but he's probably better than a lot of the current starting QB's in the league and at 32 years old he's years younger than Collaros, Harris, and Masoli. I have to imagine Regina, Toronto, Montreal and maybe Ottawa will all be competing for his services so he's probably inline to make close to $500k per season given how dire the QB situation is. My money would be on Toronto because he's a big name (in the CFL at least), they love ex-Stampeders and the salary cap doesn't seem to apply to them.
