The big thing Phillips hasn't done well in the last few seasons in show up during the pre-season. He's always come out slow and it's hurt his chances right off the hop. Then, the Flames stay healthy throughout the year and end up not needing to call many players up.
But he's off to a good start this year. Looks strong tonight and was one of the better players in the scrimmage. We'll see.

Hey everyone. I apologize if you had any difficulties finding tonight's live stream. Long story short, the NHL launched a new streaming platform this year but it's not fully developed (awesome, right?). In any case, we heard the Oilers were having trouble with theirs at around 4 p.m., so we got a YouTube stream ready just in case. Glad we did!
The league has forbidden us to stream games on any social media platforms including YouTube - otherwise we would have just had it there from the start!
Either way, we're keeping the YouTube stream on for the rest of the night in case the NHL drops our feed again.

I rarely, if ever listen to Wills on the radio so I've just noticed how fast he calls the play. Maybe not the best, and sometimes annoying, but damn he keeps up. He'd make a good auctioneer!

Sloppy 1st from both teams in Calgary. Dube and Vladar the standouts.
Backlund, Dube, and Coleman will be a great 3rd line. Damn this team is deep.
