Edit: and please with the hyperbole here. We lost two against the Rays and have two good starting pitchers going the next two games. They just lost three straight at home to Houston. Seattle is sucking atm. The sky is not falling.
Glad your optimistic, I’m definitely not right now.

Jays had a fantastic opportunity to avoid the Trop in the playoffs and now it’s looking very possible that’s where we will be playing our series. Hard to describe how that feels, honestly

Yeah he already followed up to that and Schneider said everything is fine. Maybe Bo sits out one game. I don’t expect more than that. It’s a 162 game season. Do you really expect a team to go through that and not have 3 game losing streaks? Every team has them.

Certainly, and the Jays have had far worse losing streaks than this already.

It’s the way these losses have gone down (a few late game losses, blown saves, errors, weird bad luck etc) and the timing.

If anyone can stop the bad vibes it’s Manoah tomorrow. Hope he goes 8 innings and gives this pen a breather

You’re just forcing your fan narrative on games. The season is 162 games. Do you think the players let a game get to them more when the bullpen blows it as compared to a game where the hitter got shutout or their starter got shelled? Like the fan narrative coming out of Tampa after Houston was they’d never score again. Baltimore lost 2/3 against Detroit on the weekend and it was all doom and gloom. Now Baltimore shuts out Houston twice and Tampa knows how to hit again. Fan narratives are from all I’ve seen just that. What we think of games and the causes/effects of losses has very little to the reality of the players who do it as a profession.

That’s probably very true. I will try to remember this while I am nervously pacing over these final 11 games.

Oh I understand. I hate Tampa and hate playing in Tampa. I think at times there is a curse there and it’s for sure Tampa is better at home than on the road. So yeah I don’t like the losses but I don’t try to draw too many conclusions from it. I hope like you said that our stoppers step in the next two days and get us a win or two.

At this point, I only trust Manoah and Stripling to start.

Bullpen looks spent

Jays could have a better record then the Dodgers and Rays could have a worse record then the Pirates but yet somehow we wouldn't be able to win in Tampa

I’m pretty sure Rogers has asked Buck and Tabler to talk about Merrifield a lot. Whenever he’s at bat they pump his tires

57 pitches through 5 innings is all kinds of good.

Man, haven't been able to watch any of the games since the first game of the Philly series. I hate Tropicana...

Ok. Runners on 1st and 2nd. Nobody out. Still confident that the Jays will not score here. But one can dream!
