Trubisky vs. Brissett, let's go baby WOOOOO!!!!
...at least the teams hate each other. And the very first thing I saw when I turned it on was 2 ex Browns smashing a Steelers electric guitar. That was kinda rad.

Is it just me, or have teams all of a sudden decided to make 3rd/4th and 1 more difficult than it needs to be? Brady rode QB sneaks into being the best QB ever, now it seems like they are going extinct.

Its surprising to me that the NFL doesnt employ the CFL method of backup QBs sneaking on short yardage

Trubisky hasn't been complete garbage tonight but as a Steelers fan I really hope this is his last game for a few weeks. Give the kid a chance to run the offense for a couple games and let's see what happens.

I mean there's no turning back once you go to Pickett, not like you let him have a couple games and if he stinks you go back to Trubisky. But the Steelers plan coming into the season appeared to be hope they could backdoor into the playoffs again and then who knows...but we know, they have an utterly abysmal offense, so relying on your defense to score 3 TDs a game in the playoffs....yeah. Let Pickett play, if he shows something you can build on that, if he stinks you are better positioned in the draft for a QB.

Your last point is very much on point. Pickett is the future at this point so I think you basically have to write this season off and maybe hope for the best. At the same time you give the kid as much time as possible to build an offense and learn the game so that you are ready for next season.

I really thought he'd be better, but as you suggest still early days.
I'm concerned about how he sees the field, he's made some suspect throws on 2nd or 3rd looks. Maybe rust? Or maybe he's ran out of talent.

The Steelers' offensive line is also hot garbage, so they may be holding off on putting him in so he doesn't get killed or screw his development up like the Bears seem to have done with Fields.

I think this could be the season where Tomlin finally coaches a team to a below .500 record. His 16 year run has been very impressive especially given the QB level he's had to work with for the last three seasons. They couldn't afford to lose Watt for any length of time this season given how much they will have to lean on their defense.

Tomlin's pride about that non-losing record thing could also be why he won't go to Pickett until he's basically forced to. And I also genuinely think that he believes they can be a 9-8 playoff team with Trubisky. This is one of those things that adding the 7 seed has done, one more mediocre team sneaks in, so "why not us" is a reasonable take.

Trubisky is what he is, but I don't see how throwing Pickett in there solves anything. Granted though, I hated the Pickett pick and doubt he'll amount to much, so I might be a bit biased.
If there's a change that could help, it's getting rid of Canada.

The night's biggest highlight for me was later on learning this is because the Rock & Roll HOF is in Cleveland...which just seems incredibly random. Did they win a draw or something?

Sammy Watkins on IR.
Packers stubbornness not taking a WR in round 1 is really going to impact them trying to contend.

Today is the type of day where I absolutely hate myself for being too dumb to get a good job, and so cheap that I need to overthink spending $5 on time shift.
The late game will be Falcons and Seahawks instead of Green Bay and Tampa. The biggest ass suck game of the weekend as opposed to a NFL tilt between two top teams. By seasons end Seattle will be lucky to get 40,000 people to go to a game....
