I would rather focus on this team being better top to bottom, and playing well in the post season than worrying about point totals between these two players.

Tkachuk needs a play driver on his line and there really isn't one outside of Barkov and possibly Lundell. Their defense is just ugly too. The lineup that people feared last season is not looking too threatening. Didn't think they would have a large window of opportunity, but one-and-done looks like it may be in the cards for the Panthers.

I think both Tkachuk and Bennett have grown as players and the combo might work this time offensively. It definitely won't be a fun line to play against. When all is said and done, I wouldn't be surprised to see Reinhart on that line as well instead of White.

Tkachuk will also get some playing time with Barkov.

What are you talking about? He's centered by The Legend of Sam Bennett!

If the Unicorn can't get 150 points playing with The Legend®, the Panthers would have lost the trade.

Florida can't lose now, they have both The Unicorn™ and The Legend® on the 2nd line.

It might "work" but they paid for a 100+ point generational player (their GMs words)

again this isn't the lines set for the season but there isn't a hope in hell Tkachuk will live up to the hype on that line. And make no mistake the hype is MASSIVE considering what they gave up.

Tkachuk could have 75 point season and people will be disappointed

They're really going to saddle Tkachuk with Bennett? Well from their perspective considering what they paid. They do really think he's a generational unicorn so he should be able to carry Bennett like Huberdeau did. I doubt it's going to work though

It’s going to be a very interesting season to watch and follow with Florida and Columbus and see how they do. I think the Flames have come out ahead and have really solidified their lineup.

They also got Mr. Mediocre coaching the team as well. Tkachuk had a career year by playing RW and Maurice decided to put him on the left side. That is a very ugly roster.

Florida is going to be massively disappointed in generational Matthew Tkachuk when he has a 70 point season. The amount of hype he came in with is nuts. He said he went to Florida to help them beat Tampa, lol good luck.

#TimetoHunt indeed time to hunt for some better talent, yikes.

Did Tkachuk play with Bennett here? I though it was mostly the 3M line?

They tried Tkachuk-Bennett-Brouwer line in camp, that's about it I think.

They each grew by playing with an all-world LW. Which they’ve each lost.

If Bennett starts having his tunnel vision again, Tkachuk will be demanding another trade.

We'll see. I don't think we should jump to line conclusions based on the start of training camp. I expect Tkachuk to be with Barkov soon enough. Balcers likely won't be on the top line with Barkov. It will either be Reinhart or Tkachuk, likely both at times.

I always wanted to watch Bennett and Tkachuk together. Didn’t expect to see it this way!

Agreed when we drafted Tkachuk I envisioned 2 elite pairs of Monahan-Gaudreau and Bennett-Tkachuk but Gulutzan was an idiot

Players have to take responsibility for their play but man Gulutzan was something else.
