This is just ridiculous. I called the dome today about the closed practices. Of course it is coming from hockey ops side of things but I still told the guy how wrong it is to have closed practices.The practices are going to be closed all year from what Was told. Things like this really turn you off from the team. Its like give us your money but keep away. Closed practices is just ridiculous. A lot more people need to be complaining about this.Especially season ticket holders and maybe put some pressure on them to change.
They haven't changed any hockey ops so something must have happened last year is my guess.
Maybe the Oilers had guys sneaking into Flames practices and recording their powerplay or something.

Tbh I wonder if it’s mostly just staff shortages. If CSEC doesn’t have enough staff to cover security/ushers during the day for practices/training camp - it makes sense why it’s media only. Probably finding people to cover the day shift is a task on its own for part time work.

Huberdeau has the Superstar aura about him that we haven't had since Iginla. Just they way he carries himself. Someone from the Panthers PR even said that is what Huberdeau wants he likes the spotlight.
Aside from my excitement level in anticipation of Huberdeau and what he'll bring to the team on the ice, I'm surprised how refreshing it is in watching and listening to his responses with the media since day 1. Dude is a pro, well spoken and mature. His maturity and demeanor when he speaks to the media is much like a leader. Love it.

Kadri - sounds like the team did a team building and golf in Banff? I haven't seen any news about that event. I think that's separate from the Flames charity tourney at Country Hills. I wonder what course they played.
