This contract is going to age well, with the cap expected to go up. The Avs also won at least one cup (with another chance this upcoming year) having MacKinnon on a steal of a current deal.

Bubble hockey where non playoff teams got in. No travel. Followed 9 mos later by a season that still had crazy breakdowns and no cross border travel.

TB is worthy of respect. But Col’s cup was won the harder way IMO.

Didn't Zdeno celebrate the Cup win with a single chicken wing and a Bud Light?

Wasn't he also the one who was drinking regular Coke while on the bench in the 2011 cup run?

Colorado had the same conditions those two seasons and lost to Dallas and Vegas...pretty hard to take anything away from Tampa. Especially the 2nd one when they got next to no offseason

Either way you have to beat 4 other teams, and win 16 games in the playoffs.

In 2020 they lived in a hotel for 2 months with no outside social interaction, were unable to see their families, had to follow strict protocols, and had to get motivated to play games in front of no fans on a very condensed schedule.

Honestly that might be the toughest playoff ever - not the easiest. Still had to beat Columbus, Islanders, Boston, and Dallas along the way.

I bet if you ask the Tampa players what cup final run was the hardest: 2020, 2021, or 2022...they would say 2020.
