My friends keep thinking I'm an alcoholic. At my last birthday, they kept saying I was lying that I wasn't buying new stuff to top off my liquor "collection"... but conceded defeat when my liquor volume went up 2 litres (4 bottles less a wee bit of sippage from the whole crew) due to gifts by the end of the night vs their drinking.

I guess it also doesn't help that with new rules, a few individuals are now bringing in cannabis to cross fade with at my parties rather than going purely alcohol for their buzz. I admit I do this as well. I like my alcohol for the flavor. I like the cannabis for the similar and improved buzz without as strong of a hangover.

Back to the day dreaming thing... if it ain't screen time, I wonder if certain other people are saving it for their free time on shrooms, cannabis or LSD when they aren't on ADHD meds. I'm surprised how many people are openly discussing about how they're dosing things like this now.
I'm not a 'drugs' aficionado by any means, I prefer alcohol because I know what I'm getting.

That being said though, one of the benefits of people being more open to discussing drugs is that I think it informs people a lot more.

So you could be like me and have the selection and variety be so overwhelming that I just decide to stick with my wine or whiskey, but I think more openness and information is better all around.

Ignorance is always bad.

How long should someone reasonably sit around the office when the network is down instead of going home to work? Our network/internet is out at our downtown office but our main network seems to be fine so theoretically I should be able to work from home. We also don't actually have any IT folks downtown as they work out of our main office. I already made the effort to come down here to work today so how long should I wait this out before going home?

Yeah I really like bacon but it's definitely not this god tier food people make it out to be. So rare to have it cooked perfectly too, it's often almost burnt or just way too chewy

Bacon is great, but the argument shouldn't be "how can you live without bacon", it's "if being a vegetarian is so great, why do they keep trying to make plant-based items that taste like meat"

If you are over/undercooking bacon you aren't very good at cooking. It's really not that hard in a frying pan or oven.

Isn't that argument kind of like if you're a lesbian why do you use a dildo shaped like a penis?

What is your top 5 meat products? (unsure if you are vegan or not)

1 - Pork Chop, there is nothing better than a well grilled thick cut pork chop
2 - Ribeye Steak, so much flavour
3 - Duck, an often overlooked option, good duck is amazing
4 - Lamb, I love me a nice rack of Lamb. Cilantro used to do a nice lamb in Hunan sauce
5 - A good ground Beef/Pork mix burger.

I'm on the "bacon is over-rated" side. A few slices of crispy bacon with some eggs in the morning is good, but it's not like you can fill up on that without making youself completely sick. And I hate soggy bacon, which is all you get when it's part of other meals (burgers, sandwiches, etc). As far as meats go it would probably be one of the easiest for me to give up completely

I'd definitely agree that it isn't top 5

I wouldn't say bacon as a product itself is overrated, but I will say that the bacon "cult" where it's everything bacon and bacon this and bacon that is annoying as ####. Liking bacon isn't a personality.
