Order of Canada ceremonies are not normally held in secret, but Rideau Hall and the Prime Minister's Office chose not to tell media travelling with the delegation about either Harper's event Sunday or a similar one Saturday that saw actress Sandra Oh and Olympic swimmer Mark Tewksbury invested into the Order. No explanation for the secrecy has yet been offered.
Singing Queen has to be the most 'likeable' thing JT has ever done - what is to complain about here?
Yeah I don't see the big deal. The guy was a drama teacher after all so this type of stuff is right up his alley. It's not like he was photographed shirtless playing air guitar or anything.
The only legitimate complaint is that he is there as the head of state of the second most important commonwealth country for the Queen's funeral. The country is in a national period of mourning. Supermarket chains (Morrisons) turned down the volume of beeps and their music and announcement out of respect for the Queen.
This just comes across as disrespectful. I think had he not been there for a funeral, the response would be different.
It's fair to criticize the behaviour without thinking that's in an egregious sin worth of removal.

Morrison's TURNED DOWN THE VOLUME OF THEIR BEEPS AND MUSIC while Justin Trudeau was singing Queen in the evening, the HORROR.

The federal government plans to drop the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for people who enter Canada by the end of September, the same day it ends random testing of arrivals and makes optional the ArriveCan app, The Globe and Mail has learned.
The changes, for arrivals at land, air and sea ports of entry, are planned for Sept. 30, but have yet to be finalized by cabinet, according to four sources The Globe is not naming because they are not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
The mask requirement for people on trains and planes will remain in place, at the direction of Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos, according to two of the sources.
