I think what Nikolaev needs is a bit more mass and a little more speed. Other than that, he's got the tools and the tool kit.

The Calgary forwards seem pretty good, but the defensemen really seem to have difficulty making passes and plays.

Watching the Flames prospects defence is what I imagine it will be like watching the Oilers actual defence this season.

Yeah the D has been lacklustre. Sedoff was excellent the first game, not noticeable this one.

Flames forwards seem to be having difficulty getting around the NG D-men. Keep trying to go outside instead of going inside through the middle.

Zary has looked good, duehr is intriguing. Pelltier shouldn't be a lock for anything yet, more or less invisible.
