I find myself cheering against Columbus now whereas before I was indifferent toward them.

I hope they miss.

Maybe it’s the new stickers and tags on hats…

In his article on The Athletic Lebrun confirms the Devils tried to sign Johnny in the early hours of free agency but speculates the offer wasn’t good enough to close the deal
Also says NJ wanted in on Tkachuk but since he didn’t want to go there it never was a possibility

I'd rather they get no high draft picks in the coming years.

I am still pretty indifferent toward them, although I have had a soft spot for them in the past. I quite like Jarmo Kekkalainen(?) and think it is good for the League if the team succeeds. I also still quite like Gaudreau, and don't think he did anything worth my ire. So, I will probably continue to hope they do well.

Lol imagine how #### their offer was if he took the offer CBJ

Him and his agent clowned themselves

Don’t be too hard on them. It’s quite possible they actually saved the Flames from themselves.

From what I have heard their offer was $10.3Mx7yrs and when Gaudreau turned it down they signed Palat with part of the money earmarked for Gaudreau. Him and his agent definitely clowned themselves, I hope he wins F all in Columbus

Is that what his friends call him? The “Keague”?

I can't blame his agent, at least without knowing how he advised his client. I would not at all be surprised if he advised JG to take the Flames offer after they met his demands. I can't imagine an agent recommending to decline a team after they meet your specific demands. His comments on Twitter sounded rather apologetic about how it turned out.

I don't really judge Gaudreau either. He wanted to move on. Maybe the financial part of it didn't work out the way he thought it would, but it was his right to test the market. I wish the team knew well before the last minute, but I suspect he was legitimately undecided the whole time.

Columbus isn’t winning anything anytime soon. I like their goalie but he isn’t making them win on his own. They traded their best all around Center for nothing. Their top dman is like a version of Noah Hanifin except he’s making Darnell Nurse money. Laine is as streaky as Johnny. And when he’s bad I imagine he’s even worse in his own zone. All of the previous bad habits that Johnny had will return and he will be happy to where literally no one cares.

In the grand scheme of it. He saved us from ourselves.

Sending Monahan packing was hard to do with Johnny here.

Tkachuk literally saved us from a rebuild. And ZIto decided to over pay for him. I have huge expectations this season now. We actually got better.

We need Pelletier and valamaki to step up this season to put us over the top.

Gaudreau totally screwed himself over. Went to one bubble US eastern market over another bubble US eastern market, giving up at least 5% on 70m or so. Gave up an amazing legacy potentially (other people's POV, not him, but who cares how he sees it). Looks to make slightly less money on a team that has lots of hockey fans not agreeing with his reasons and a huge PR nightmare over 'not enough gratitude' that for sure he cares about, and lots of people outside of Calgary will care about for years and years

Went from 3% chance at a cup to maybe 2.5%. Columbus not Calgary. LOL what an #######

Chance of death by falling concrete definition of small sample sizes

Dialog? You think these 2 posts were dialog?

Maybe if you spent less time insulting everyone, and more time providing something constructive, you'd generate some dialog.
