Agreed. Will have a very good indication of where this team is at…assuming the starters play…
The Men’s walkout brought a whole lot of attention on the CSA and more so, the CSB and IMO got them to smarten up with regards to getting proper preparation.

I predict they lose to Uruguay beat Qatar and lose to Japan.

After the high of WC Qualifying, it'll be hard for the group (I think) to focus on these matches as they prep for their upcoming club season then the WC proper.

I don't know about that...none of these players have ever played in a WC. Guaranteed they have a team WhatsApp chat or something of the likes and are in constant contact.
They're going to be absolutely buzzing for this WC, and will be excited to use these games as warmup.

I hope Canada releases the roster for these friendlies soon. I'm ready to get irrationally upset about the 26th name on the squad and why person #27 should've been invited instead
I hope they bring closer to 30, get a few more bodies in camp. it's the last chance to prepare and injuries may happen over the next couple months. Especially with Osorio and Atiba fighting injuries right now

Canada will be the ONLY country of the 32 in the World Cup that will not have new kits for the tournament...
That's just embarrassing.
Nevermind the missed opportunity to sell some jerseys to help the hype train.

Judging how bad some of these kits are for the World Cup I will take the boring Canada kits over the awfulness of some of the Nike and Puma ones

Totally. Ineptitude again. Jersey sales are a major source of revenue for national associations around the world. Imagine being able to get more income but choosing not to.
It’s actually unthinkable to me that Canada’s first World Cup since 1982 uses existing jerseys.
Why?

The American jerseys look like something photoshopped.

I'm torn on this. The current set is really nice and clean, and the CSA would probably botch a re-design and give us something ugly anyway. Meanwhile, they're leaving a lot of money on the table and not capitalizing on biggest marketing opportunity in the history of Canadian soccer.

I certainly don't have mixed feelings. Making the WC is the pinnacle of sports, you pull out all the stops.
Canada being the only team that couldn't be bothered to roll out a new jersey tells you all you need to know. Yet another dumbass move by the CSA.

No Henry is almost shocking to me. Won't be surprised if he ends up on the final 26. However based on current play he doesn't deserve to be there at all. He is one of Herdman's guys though
Waterman finally gets his deserved call. He's the 3rd best CB in the pool based on current form

He's hurt. Expected back in a couple weeks. Let him rest, we know what Atiba is about
It wouldn't surprise me if he is a spectator of sorts at the camp since it is over in Europe

Not much surprise in that roster to me. Waterman is a great add if for no other reason than it makes sense to play a back 3 who play together in Montreal. Atiba is injured and being frozen out at Besiktas despite being a club legend. I figured Buchanan wouldn't be there as he's also injured, and that Henry would be there as he's good in the room but agreed that based on form he should be left out.
Some people are disappointed that Jebbison isn't on the roster because "he liked Canada Soccer on Instagram" but that was a stupid reason to think he had been called up.
