We like it when other teams BPB/Color guys compliment and show appreciation when Flames players play well... but somehow we're not cool with Hrudey/Ball doing it?
Get outta here.
We're lucky to have Hrudey and Ball and I'm happy their back.

Fair enough, I like Kelly, I always get the feeling that he knows how lucky he is to be doing what he is doing.
If you don't like him, then to each their own, we could have worse.

A great team with great delivery. His Oilers love grates, but apart from that Hrudey and Ball are great.

Ball is elite at what he does and was such a massive upgrade on Kerr, Loubardias, and Millions before him. Hrudey is decent and better than Campbell-Pascal, or Simmer but I think he is not one of the best. I do like him on the HNIC panel though he is great in that role and I love how he pumps the flames on those national broadcasts. Leslie is entertaining and a pro at what he does. We are lucky as flames fans to have such a solid team

Love them.
I have gained so much respect for Ryan Leslie. Seeing how Johnny, Chucky and especially Guy Gaudreau interacted with Ryan on his IG live interviews after they moved on tells you all you need to know about who Ryan Leslie is.

Good for Ball
Kelly is an Oilers fan and can't hide his bias

Not sure about others, but I almost always watch the opposition feed if it's a US team. The difference in production quality is like comparing a modern day smartphone to a rotary dial wall phone from the 60s.

I really like Ball on PBP. Not as big a fan of Hrudey on color. I think Kelly is a great guy and all but I don't think his insight is great and he likes to laugh too much at his own jokes.

Ball and Hrudey are two of the best. I've listened to every PBP team in the league and most are horrifying. In the US, a majority of PBP guys sound like exaggerated radio voices calling a horse race with a colour guy who cries about obvious home team penalties and anything the other team does that's clean and physical. They get downright pouty and indignant over the stupidest things that are clearly defined in the rule-book. Maybe they know some of the rules and are banking on new American fans being ignorant about the sport so they can join in on the outrage? It's amazing that hockey has come as far as it has in the States with such awful and embarrassing commentating. I like occasionally listening for a chuckle and a reminder of what we have in Ball and Hrudey.
I've met a few people with a strong distaste for Kelly, but they're also the people I've met who remind me most of Kelly.

I think you Hrudey confused with Cassie Campbell. She's the one that rambles on way to much.

If they replaced Hrudey, it would just be another person forced to tow the company line.
The McLovin' for greaserville is a requirement for employment at SportsNet if you haven't figured it out by now.
I like Hrudey, except when we are playing the oilers.

Not me. I hope he has other commitments during Oilers games so he can't constantly talk about how privileged he is to be in the same building as McAvi.

Charlie Simmer was the worst - thank you for bringing him up as it is a good reminder of how much better off we are now.

Ball is elite. Hrudey I can take or leave, but the bottom line is they are among the best pairings going - it could be a LOT worse.
