I realize there's history with Brownie the Elf but it doesn't really strike me as a very intimidating football mascot. Still it's harmless and kid friendly I guess. It was brought back by popular vote so Browns fans wanted it and got it.

they've made about 230 million worse decisions this past offseason, so apart from the fact that it's hard for me to say "Brownie the Elf" with a straight face, I'm not going to judge. If you want to put a huge goofy elf in the middle of the field ... you do you, Cleveland.

The NFL doesn't usually schedule competing prime time games though. Even during the pandemic season where games were being shifted around I don't recall any overlapping prime time games unless an early game went late.

Staley really let himself get bullied by media talking heads who questioned his aggressiveness last year. He definitely went overboard at times, sure, but two fourth and two's in KC territory and two kicks is brutal.

So that was a great half for analytics lol. Amazingly Reid made the worst decision on that fourth and one, but watching Staley cower away is pretty sad. Oh well.

The Chiefs never running another QB sneak again because of one fluke injury still boggles my mind. At least let someone else do it if Mahomes isn't allowed to.

They have one of the better centers in the league in Humphries, spent big on a guard in Thuney...and won't sneak it. Irks me to no end.
