Just wait for how angry Ontario is when their housing is down 50% and looking for someone to blame.
Never underestimate peoples misplaced anger and a leader who can harness that angst

So they'll turn to the guy who wants Canada to do the bit coin thing? lol
I think it's down more than 50% since he proposed it.

No one will care or remember come election that statement . In fact - 99% of people probably have no clue he said it
People will look for someone to blame when they can’t afford groceries and have seen a large percentage of their household wealth disappear
You overestimate the average voter

Housing ain’t falling 50% but wouldn’t Pierre be happy with that since he claims that affordability is his goal?

Toronto is already down 16% . You think this isn’t just getting started ? Did you see the inflation numbers in the US yesterday …

PP is absolutely hoping the economy is in shambles come election time . If it is he will win .

It’s really easy to isolate data to try and scare people but I’m not sure how helpful it is in anything but proving to people that you’re willing to try and mislead them.

Wouldn't Trudeau and Singh be celebrating a 50% drop as well? They would all be climbing over each other trying to figure out how they can claim victory over the affordability issue.

Sounds like someone I wouldn’t want to vote into a position where their main job is supposed to be looking out for the best interests of others.

Looks like it’s up about 9% YOY despite the apparent 16% decline.

Does that mean it’s time to panic?

Yes.
An economy in shambles.
Fire falling from the sky.
Cats and dogs living together.
PP elected as Prime Minister, lecturing us all while holding a piece of wood he found as he moves our currency over to Dogecoin.
This is the future Conservatives pine for.

Except PP has been running on making housing more affordable. We know that's not something he actually wants but he's telling everyone that.
This economy is in shambles stuff is hilarious though... When PP actually puts out some real plans etc I'll pay more attention. He's literally given no info other than soundbites and asking for money. He's just nerdy Trump.

Didn’t Trump win with that strategy ?
Identify a problem you can rally the masses around (economy) and point them at a perceived “villain”

How do you all (we) know that's not something PP wants?
The economy is getting worse with each rise in interest rates.
Nearly one in four homeowners feel that they many need to sell their home if interest rates continue to rise.
Nearly 50% of Canadians are living paycheck to paycheck
Almost 2/3 of young Canadian non-owners have given up on ever owning a home

It really doesn’t matter what he wants if he’s not willing to actually bring forward solutions. It’s easy to point out problems, fixing them is the hard part.

When did someone say PP had all the answers. I’m saying he doesn’t even need any solutions, he just needs angry people and someone to blame to win
And as the economy gets worst , inflation rises and home prices crashes and destroy household wealth in Ontario its gets easier and easier to create a scapegoat and turn ridings.
Most people won’t know or care about anything PP said anytime before election time . The average person doesn’t spent 1 minute researching anything about the candidates and policies and instead listens to buzzwords
These are the people PP will target to win an election

He does have a plan. Did you not listen to his speech? The generalities have been laid out. The details will come when he is able to carry them out.

The “generalities” that you refer to aren’t solutions, they’re end results. It’s easy to say things like we need to make housing more affordable, the hard part is figuring out how.
“People are living paycheque to paycheque”. No ####, people like Pierre and most of his party have championed policies that perpetuate that problem their entire careers. Are we to believe he’s going to pull a 180 once elected?
If you want to ignore what’s actually happening and has happened because of some misguided belief that they are going to get pipelines built that’s your issue.
I know we don’t often agree on political issues but let’s be real here, suggesting he’ll fix these problems once elected when he’s done nothing to demonstrate he has any plan at all outside of blaming Trudeau for everything is about as ignorant of a statement as I’ve read on here.
