Tried Little Tavern in Strathcona on the CP recommendation. Pretty good. More of a NY style thin crust, so you need to be in that mood, but well executed in my opinion.

A few weeks ago I had Tom's House of Pizza. One of the few things open when i was looking and had never had it before.
Yikes, it was bad. Like, I know pizza can't be "bad" but it was *bad*
Would much rather have any chain pizza

That’s unfortunate. Was it because you didn’t like the style or has it gone downhill? I remember it being good, but this was years and years ago.

Papa John's kills Domino's when it comes to quality.
But Domino's is much cheaper, especially when you apply their deals.
Papa John's chicken bites/wings are terrible though, don't waste your money on those.

i too like Papa John's. If you are on their email list, they have a lto of good deals - like 50% off your order.

having never been, i cannot comment on it going down hill. But the crust basically tasted like a week old pita.

If you search for Papa John's coupon codes, they almost always have one that will give you 25% off a regular priced order. It just changes every so often, but they're usually easy to find. For example, the current one is: 25SAVE

I don’t like papa johns. It’s down there with pizza 73 as the lowest quality chain.
Panago and dominos used to be my go to when I ordered from chains. Panago is more expensive tho. Rarely have good deals. Not like dominos 7.99 two topping mediums. Or was it 1 topping? Either way it was a great deal.

I can't get enough of Domioes Buffalo chicken bites. With the ranch and the hot sauce and the cheese. Oh man, best thing they have. I'll order just that and cheesy bread from them sometimes.

Yeah, I had Toms of Pizza twice in the last two years for the first time in my life. Both times I left thinking I would have preferred Panago or some other chain.
Cardboardy dough, soggy pepperoni and just not that good at all.

I once ordered a pepperoni pizza from Panago. They put on two pieces of pepperoni on the entire pizza. Screw Panago.
Little Caesar's original pizza is the worst pizza.

Panago's are owned by individual franchisee's all employing teenagers for minimum wage. A single order doesn't say anything about the whole brand.
What gets me (bothers me) about Panago is that the dough and sauce have a very distinctive taste to it. I could only eat it so often, but also get a craving for that taste sometimes.

So basically whatever I could get from them is random.
It's not like the franchise model is unique to Panago.

Panago lost my business when they dropped the buffalo chicken pizza. I still crave it to this day.

Any dine-in, non-thin crust pizza places? Somewhere for a pint and something not offering prosciutto and pear or mushroom and leafs.

It was good:

Does anyone know why they changed from Panagopoulos to Panago?
