This is true. But they charge for trolleys (rude) so if you have your own, take it.

And watch for bears. We had one on number 7 green this year.

So he walks the front nine and then walks the back nine?

Does anyone know if there are any good junior golf indoor programs during the winter? I see that there are a lot of newer indoor sim places. My kid is not competitive and I'd be mostly interested in getting him to learn some swing techniques while playing some easy and fun games. Does anyone know of anything that I should look into. Preference would be for a NW facility or at Mickelson National.

Today I was invited to an off-site meeting on Friday at Mickelson. I live in the south and the drive is a pain, but I will manage as this is a course that I likely would not golf at on my own dime.

I’d imagine I will load my bag with about 36 rocks as I’d imagine I will sacrifice a few.

I’d also think this will be my last round of the season.

Golfing Wolf Creek this weekend. I don't usually golf well on links style courses, but it beats not golfing.

My golf course in Nanton is having it's annual Glowball- Night Golf tournament this Friday night. So far 69 members and guests have signed up. We play 9 holes with glow sticks lining the fairway, tee box, greens and flag sticks. Attendance grows each year we have it and people love the experience.

I walked 36 for the first time on Monday.

18 at Darcy in the morning then 18 at Inglewood in the afternoon.

I've played 36 plenty of times, just never walking both. Definitely feeling it on the last 5 holes or so.

Managed to get in rounds 4 (9 holes) and 5 (18 holes) of the season last week. That may be it for the year the way things are going. Best part of it I was I played with my son for the first time in 4 years. He tore up his shoulder 4 years ago and hasn't been able to swing a club since then. I was surprised this year when he said he wanted to play again.

He's never been a golf lover but is naturally athletic so plays pretty well, makes me jealous. On one par 3 - 140 yards and I come up short with an 8 iron. He hits gap wedge and sails the green by 20 yards.

I walked 27 3-4 times this year and I was beat by the end of that. I've walked 36 (I can't remember if I did that this year, but I think so) and depending on the heat it's a bit of a grind.

I would never walk 36. Just not worth it. I've played 36 a few times and even in a cart it is an absolute grind.

Really? Carting 36 with lunch in between is a breeze. I usually walk 18, have lunch, then cart 18.

Employees fight to be working on those nights due to sometimes large tips that get dolled out.

They do a couple checkstops a year down south here during our men's league. Can't say if it has fully hurt the club or not, but I know of a few teams that don't drink AS much because of it

Played Mickelson yesterday and I played better than I expected thru 14…..to real wobbly from 15 on. Finished with a 108.

I thought the course was real nice. The greens were lovely with some of our groups putts taking some crazy turns. I had several approach shots that I thought would be short of the green take a few hops and make their way on.

I can’t decide what would prevent me from playing it again - the cost or the the drive (I live in the deep SE (so getting there was pretty much an hour) or both.

I enjoyed the course more than I enjoyed country hills the week prior.

Glowball - night golf was a huge success last night.

Nobody got drunk and the RCMP didn't have to bring in the drunk bus to haul us off to jail
