The answer is in your question. Wraps.....wrap around the car. Like a condom. Stickers are stickers.

Now a question has popped into my head. What would a Calgary Flames scratch and sniff sticker smell like?

BbQ?

Well we're all probably safely on his ignore list now so we can safely admit that yes, yes we do.

Wow misinterpretation. Was chatting about two separate topics and decided to edit my post rather than get accused of double posting. Didn’t mean to insinuate anything about the poster but it is very clear from this thread that a lot lack empathy. You can STFU.

Here’s the second half of my post after the overreaction by at least ten people. I guess I hit a nerve by saying people lack empathy by dog piling FG.

Happy for you FG and just want to voice my support that I thought some of the reactions in this thread were over the top. It shows how a lot of people could have more empathy for what living with a different ability such as MD is really like.

Wow does that really cost $1000? As you say it looks fun but that seems steep.

I think you're missing the point.

Getting donations for a "wrap" on his van in a Flames format is what this thread is about.

You (and a few others) appear to have flipped this weird narrative that anyone who disagrees or potentially argues (which takes 2 people to do) with FG insinuates they are making fun of his disability.

The two are not mutually exclusive, nor do they have anything to do with one another. People can dislike the wrap, they can dislike the flames, they can dislike FG or Pres or anyone else in this thread because its their choice not because they're making fun of anything.

Personally I think FG is more than capable of speaking for himself, he's an adult and if he wants to argue with someone that's his choice.

Keep the two separate.

as someone who donated, this was just a fun part of the playoff run. a playoff run that was sadly cut short in spectacular horrifying fashion followed by a post season that looked like it was going to be worse than our playoff exit. That took the wind out of a lot of our sails, so I applaud FG and his commitment to follow through. This is the perfect way to start the new season with a revamped team.

Decals are similar to wraps, but instead of covering your entire vehicle, they're made to be placed on specific areas, like a door or a hood. They're much smaller and come with custom sizing options. They're also extremely cost-effective for promoting your brand as you ride around town.

So when you said something that was interpreted as 'over the top' others were 'overreacting'. But when others said things you didn't like it's because they lack empathy?

If that's not hypocrisy, it's about as close as you can get.

Literal first post in this thread, but I've read it all. What a ride!

My interpretation from this thread is that the board appears to have been burned by scams in the past, and some people are (rightly or wrongly) very cautious about future scams. Thus some people may have had a poor response to the whole process. Communication was also very poor at times, and the whole thing was handled terribly. It is what it is. Maybe EVERYONE needs to take a few steps back and reflect.

I don’t think anybody is making fun of FG’s disability. We all have lives and don’t get on here every day. Something obviously came up and FG couldn’t post RIGHT on the same day as his appointment and the pitchforks came out (again). Just seems over the top. Things come up. Have a little understanding. The only reason I mentioned MD is because he probably has more to deal with and less time for CP. Apologies for articulating my point unclearly.

I have read your post a couple of times and honestly don’t understand your line of thinking. I probably overreacted, but oh well. It happens. Hard not to when your point is misinterpreted.

People’s reactions throughout the thread but especially when FG couldn’t post on the exact same day were certainly over the top. Maybe empathy is the wrong word? But my point was mainly meant to be that, things come up, doesn’t mean people are scammers or degenerates. Should have just left MD out of it as the main point I was trying to make was lost.

I assume it's more than that. The GofundMe raised $1015, but this started with a plan FG was going to just do it himself until he realized it was pricey(which I get, it's probably a shock to see the prices of a full wrap). So I assume he chipped in some of his own money, like $500 or something, rather than only using what the GFM raised? It'd be weird to only use other people's money, but that's just my assumption on what happened. So probably a $1500 decal job or something.
