I doubt it’s a grift, like others have said the PIMKing Ian Demler scam was a very long con to get cash for steroids and whatnot. He bilked the forum out of thousands IIRC. This was barely a grand right? Probably not a scam cause is that worth it especially with so many people knowing who he is IRL? More likely health issues have come up and it just didn’t come together like he’s hoped.

I have no doubt it will all be explained soon. He last logged in on the 2nd and should be headed back anytime now with an update. I can’t imagine he’ll just never log on again and disappear with the money, right?

Earlier in the project people who donated were wondering why it was taking so long and he explained. He also offered to give money back to everyone who donated and shutdown the project. People said continue.

I think people who donated money have every right to ask questions and be told in transparent and clear ways where the project is at and how that money has been used. To me that's 100% fair.

And the moderators and owners of the site also would be in the rights to ask questions and get clarity, since the site was used to facilitate the raising of funds.

There is then a different group of posters, who haven't donated any money, and seem to take some pleasure in being a part of these types of things, including jumping in with an assumption of guilt. People that seem to thrive on that drama and negativity and enjoy taking a poster down.

While I won't call it silly it came across as a odd and dismissive, you created a box and put a bunch of people in those boxes without much thought put into it. People can not donate and question the legitimacy of a GoFundMe without being drama queens.

In fact the GoFundMe had a lot of named or anonymous donations, you nor anyone know the full list and there usernames. There could easily be people who've donated, are openly questioning it, but not saying anything. You've put a group of people in a box to dismiss their criticisms.

so yeah, I guess kind of silly.

The only reason this isn't buried on the last pages is because people have been asking questions. flamesGimp only gave "updates" when pressured.
