Ah crap, it's sponsored by my parents pretending everything is fine in order to have a nice holiday for the children when deep down they resented each other usually resulting in copious amount of alcohol and bickering?

Ads suck and the NHL sucks for doing this. Two thumbs down.

Was thinking Canadian Tire. The other option might be Leon's, ho ho hold the payments.

Agreed, I'll never like them.
I'd much rather they sell more ice space for ads than put them on the uniforms. Cheapens the brand IMO.

On the other end, I can't imagine paying what I am sure is an outrageous sticker price as a sponsor for a small logo in the corner of a jersey that will be largely invisible on TV 90% of the game.
Terrible for fans and they didn't go far enough to even make it worthwhile to sponsors. Hopefully this dies in a few years rather than go the opposite direction of sponsors taking the bulk of the jersey.

The Oilers' colours definitely lead themselves more to a partnership with BFI or Port-O-Let

Oilers could also use the Lotto 649 logo.
But I do prefer the garbage or portable toilets for them - more on brand.

Waste Management or 310 Dump could also work nicely with the Oilers. Honorable mention would be Lowe's for obvious reasons

Most teams will be gambling ads. In 5 years every advertisement around the game will just be gambling ads.

Zary and Pelletier repping the Flames at the NHL Rookie showcase this week in DC...
The Caps and Pens players have ads on their jerseys. Nothing yet for the Flames.

The ad placement is optimal for closeups, slow motion replays at close range, and in-game interviews. I bet there will be an internal mandate of no towels over sponsor logos during interviews this season to provide maximum value to NHL partners.

I was thinking the vastly untapped laxative market would be gold for the Oilers. Turbolax, colonblow or some iteration would be all too fitting.

I actually don't care. The helmet ads didn't bug like I thought they would.

I can only hope that some teams third jersey is just absolutely littered with ads.
