Having 10 hits between your 1, 3, 4 hitters but 0 for your 2 and 5 hitters is pretty bad.

Losing was bad. Losing while eating up the bullpen was worse. Losing while TB and Seattle are winning is…

Kikuchi should NEVER be used for less than 2-3 innings…he’s a low leverage long man. When you put him in, the only result you are looking for is the number of innings eaten…like Zimmermann did yesterday. He’s cannon fodder right now. If the team needs to worry about how many runs he’s going to give up, you just don’t put him in.

Why do the Jays always have to have a guaranteed loss night gas can in their rotation?
Finally demote Kikuchi, enter Mitch White. Maybe he'll get better, but he's pure garbage right now and is costing the Jays wins. Total momentum stopper with the Jays on a 5 game win streak and out to an early lead in this one.
Jays FO knocked it out of the park last year with Ray and Matz, but completely missed the mark this year with Kikuchi and White.

Eh, I'm not too worried. It was one game and they've scored 7, 8 and 6 runs in the last 3. Bass and Mayza may have been "used" last night but those were very brief outings, plus Phelps, Cimber and Romano are all fresh. Did Pop get sent back down? And it's Manoah tonight so he could go 6 or 7, 5 at the worst. Then it's a day off so everyone should be fresh for the next series. I agree it sucks that there hasn't been a reliable 5th starter all season but right now the bats are doing enough to give the team a chance every game. Imagine if Vladdy can get going again.

He was the extra player for the doubleheader so he had to be.

The thing with White is, his numbers with Jansen catching are good. Soooo they keep trotting Kirk out behind the plate?
But also, yes, please stop finding bad pitchers k thx.

3 outs on 3 pitches to begin the game. Please don't be this version of the bats tonight. We need to win. Can't split the series after sweeping the double header. A 4.5 game lead is a lot more comfortable down the stretch. And the season series would almost even up at 6-7. But a loss and it's a 2.5 game lead and 5-8 against the O's. Which would almost be insurmountable for the tie breaker.

This team's approach at the plate is minor league level.

A single and 3 walks and the Jays can only muster a run. They are such an unbelievably frustrating team. It's like you know early on what team its going to be and there's no way around it. Going to be hard for them to win this one.
