I never would have guessed that it was real. She is out of Timmins ON (if I recall correctly), so I assumed she couldn't possibly be a Flames fan.

I will go back under my rock now...lol

Thanks.

Yes. When she hosted the 2003 Junos (which is why the quality isn't great -- no HD). She wore different outfits throughout the show modelled after the uniforms of each of the Canadian NHL teams at the time.

It's a better article of you say to yourself after each sentence, plus we have McDavid or but we have McDavid.

I missed the memo, what are we chasing that Edmonton has "developed"?

I'm failing to come up with anything.

No Goodness is innate. It cannot be developed.

I just can't believe he's putting his foot in his mouth again after that last statement that hasn't aged well.... First issue with the current statement, isn't every NHL team chasing it (that special playoff winning sauce I suspect he means)... but didn't Edmonton lose against Colorado, so why wouldn't we copy their (Colorado) special sauce instead since it seems better. Next... since we're in the same division, won't we almost always have to go through Edmonton **if** we both win our first round series or we meet in the first round (wild cards could create a cross over that might prevent us from meeting even if we both win our opening series) - so that part is just stating the obvious to somehow put Calgary down. Thirdly, we are a vastly different team from last year, what makes you think will perform at the same level as last year, we may do better in the playoffs next year with our new tools (I think we will), but we could be worse, and so too can Edmonton.

These blanket statements are just a fan hoping his team is better then our team, it doesn't belong in the article.

More from the Spector propaganda:

If this is your first visit to this space, you may be thinking, “Here’s another Edmonton guy picking his team to win it all.” But if you’ve been here before, you would know it has been ages since we looked at an Edmonton roster and with this much positivity.

Yep, its been ages Mark. 365 whole days dating back to this time last year. You Edmonton fan boy media hacks have been saying the same crap EVERY off season dating back 30 years. You, Mark Spector, are a freaking Moron!!!

We can say what we want about Francis, but I don’t think he’s ever written an article picking the Flames to win it all before the puck has even dropped

The Calgary media are completely opposite to the Edmonton media. If you read the Calgary media you'd think the Flames are the worst team in the League and they hate them.

Whereas Edmonton media will carry and clean the Oilers' jockstraps with glee, enthusiasm and love in their hearts.

I'm really eager to see how Edmonton fills out the roster they are looking at with so much positivity. As of today, when Smith and Klefbom go on LTIR, the Oilers will have -$414,333 to add two players. An argument could be made for Vancouver, Boston, and maybe Tampa, but I would say the Oilers are the worst in the league when it comes to cap flexibility at this point. They are no good.

No problems, according the Oilers fans just trade Foegele or Barrie for a high draft pick and you have all the savings you need. Told one fan they would have to retain salary or send a sweetener with either of those players and I was told I clearly don't know anything about hockey.

They are absolutely delusional up there, it is crazy.

I saw some facebook comments today that said "Put Nurse on LTIR for the season then bring him back for playoffs" which got a sensible chuckle out of me.
