Those colours suck, that logo sucks and the jerseys are going to be an abomination. Their current retro inspired jerseys are some of the best in the league.

Let that be a lesson to those who say "No one will ever feel nostalgic about the Flames pedestals."
Lots of people have horrible taste.

The Sabres have never looked better than they do in the royal blue and gold. Their old navy uniforms were some of the worst I've ever seen.

Sabres are in an identical situation to the Flames.
Brought back their best jersey’s ever- have perfected the home and away kits.
Ideal time to bring back a “blackout” jersey with a nostaligic and fun animal head logo.
It’s a great third jersey!

I find it interesting people hating on the black and red Sabres jersey but then enjoying the Blasty jersey. There is a nostalgia factor to it definitely versus being a perfect design.
For the record, I really like both.

I'm generally not a fan of black jerseys. That Buffalo one is not the worst, but all black jerseys just look like struggling brands trying to be cool in the 90's.

The Flames have a great logo, and a ton of potential, but do a terrible job with jerseys. Why bring back the black and red blasty?
I still think flames alternate logo shoulder patch would make a great jersey. Maybe instead of black, a dark grey. Or variations...

If there are only two sweaters in the history of the planet & the other one is the Buffaslug, then yeah… it’s “great”.

It is great, but it just needs some enhancements consistency in the mountains, to align with the CF.

All the retro jerseys need to go away for at least ten years. The 80s was an ugly colour scheme overall. From a design perspective it’s just lazy to revert to old times. Designers have to be more like MLB and create a new look using updated colour schemes. Just reusing things from the past is so boring. Especially when it comes to colours. Look up MLB City Connect jerseys to see how new colours can be done well. Opportunity to try a blue flame perhaps? But no, all we get is Ronald McDonald colours. People get paid for this?

I'm not opposed to tweaking it, just think it's a logo that would make a nice jersey.

The "retro" jerseys are just the basic core of the team's visual identity. The problem was going away from that core during the dark era of the mid-90s until they brought it back. I like some of those MLB City Connect jerseys and could see some stuff being done like that for Flames jerseys on a limited basis, but the so-called "retro" jerseys should always be the foundation unless the team does a full rebranding with new logo, new name, new identity, which there's no reason to do.

Why is that? It could be a pedestal.

Anything is iconic when Hasek is wearing it.

Third jersey, I hope they use some different font than before/the original. That font has been around since 1995 on the main jerseys until to a couple years back when they finally updated it on the flag jerseys. It's terribly dated. Freshen up the look.
If it were me I'd alter the horsehead for the jersey...about just red outlines of the horse, not all the filled in white and yellow color? Can someone mock that up? Edit, I knew I've seen it before:
Reverse Retro, I assume would use that tired old font.
The jersey is a hideous, lazy, cheap, embarrassing amateur design then, and now it's just there for tackiness value and some snickers.Flames choked away a playoff series against a bottom feeder and got swept, wearing those jerseys. They dropped red as a color for primary jerseys after that debacle of 5 years wearing them.
Hopefully they change it up in someway...how about extend the pedestal and make it a sash (look like the Peruvian national soccer team)? Couldn't look any more pathetic.
How about a black C with a white outline instead of a white C? Would be a reverse of the 95 era jersey which had a red c and white c. Those solid red shoulders and arms don't fit either on the mock up, the shoulder part especially looks unfinished, but again, that's part for the course for the big fail the Flames management and merchandise and marketing people did in greenlighting this design back in 1994.
