Why does he have way more value? His numbers so far in the NHL do not indicate that.

I've read speculation that the Sabres might want to move on from Mittlestadt recently. I would think he has more value than Vilardi, due to the fact that Mittlestadt has has more time and production in the NHL, whereas Vilardi has had trouble sticking with the Kings-due in part to his skating issues. Not sure that the two are worlds apart in value though.

Some guy named Jimmy Murphy from Montreal Hockey Now is speculating that the Habs are shopping Christian Dvorak……
Apologies if already posted.

Read an article mentioning Dahlen from San Jose who wasn’t qualified and has now become a UFA as a possible fit. He finally played his first NHL season this past year netting 12 G and adding 10 assists in 62 games on a pretty brutal Sharks team. He’s apparently going to accept an offer with his hometown team (he’s Swedish btw ) unless he can find an NHL gig, has apparently interviewed with several clubs but hasn’t found a fit yet. Might be worth taking a flyer on, his stats in the SWE-1 league improved gradually year over year before his first crack in the NHL. I’d be interested in a 1 x 1.

Dahlen was once a very highly regarded prospect. His stats in Sweden are eye-popping.

Also went the last 13 games without a point. Looking at his game log he looks like a classic case of a hot-and-cold scorer.

Well, there had to be a reason why he wasn’t qualified. I read that he’s not the greatest skater, either.
Dahlen led the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s second tier league, in scoring in 2020-21, and was second the year prior. Still pretty respectable.

Billionaire team owner complains that guys at the top are getting too big a piece of the pie.
That's some amazing lack of self awareness.
If anything NHL stars are still underpaid relative to their contributions.
The fact that a guy like Blake Coleman makes $5 million per year while guys like Huberdeau/Gaudreau only make twice as much is pretty nutty. He's not half the player, and he doesn't sell half the tickets that those guys do.

Considering the vets on the Stars team are on complete Albatross contracts, this guy is just trying to squeeze his best players and blaming them for it

What account did you randomly just hop from and start posting en masse again?
For the record, save yourself and everyone else time. In fewer typing words than it took you to make the post, you just need to punch Hanifin contract into google and click on the first link. Capfriendly is god.

Thanks for the info, I am a Flames fan but not an NHL junkie, never heard of capfriendly, now I have. I didn't follow gasbuddy till recently either. Was it really that hard and did you need the dig?

Teach a man to fish...
The dig was light, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to identify the sharp uptake in posts by this account as likely the result of you flipping accounts. Also, I previously had you ignored and I don't do that unless it's something VILE so you may have deserved it.

IIRC a couple years ago Lundkvist was putting up Karlsson type numbers in Sweden and was "untouchable"
