Posting someone's random unsolicited and negative PMs to you definitely sounds "unprofessional, unethical and illegal!"
I'd hate to deal with with the cyberpolice after they backtrace it. You could even say that you done goofed because consequences will never be the same.
On this otherwise inauspicious rainy Saturday afternoon in August I humbly question....'huh?'

Since I have absolutely no context for that clip...all of that seems completely insane. I'm guessing that neither that man nor his daughter understand how the internets works.
You see...its a series of tubes...

Yeah it was quite the joke back in the day. Unfortunately they were a victim of cyberbullying and possibly sexual assault. The dad turned out to be a piece of #### too so it's not so funny anymore.
In my experience, it's really rare to get actual gifts at Indian weddings. All the "gifts" are just cash. I think we ended up receiving almost $25k in cash. That doesn't include the cost of the wedding which was mainly paid by her parents. My parents kicked in a bit but it's usually customary for the bride's parents to cover the majority of the costs, especially if they want to go super elaborate.
Yeah, my buddy was mentioning bringing $800 with them as their present at the last one. Said almost everyone does that.
Actually just doing the math on that for a 300 person wedding, you're at $250k.
EDIT: Not really I guess, since he was bringing that on behalf of his family of four, as I'm sure most with families do. But still, yeah they probably make out with a decent haul of cash.
What is standard for a wedding gift these days? Last wedding I went to maybe 2015 I think I gave $100 to my cousin+husband. That was a lot of dough as a grad student

Yeah, Grad Students are notoriously cheap...

I'm surprised to hear you guys getting into fights in PMs. Is it with guys from the Off Topic gang or the Fire on Ice guys? I don't think I've been in a pm fight.

Not a fight, just random PM's from one poster. Judging by pm's I've received since posting that here, it seems to be something that the poster just does for some reason.

But take it with a grain of salt and don’t believe everything people post here publicly. I’ve seen some references made about me which are false.
Maybe don’t be a d1ck and people won’t send you DMs, I’ve seen a few posts now from different posters whining about that and when you look at their posting style it’s quite a normal reaction they get from many other posters.
