i've mentioned before i own an embroidery company. one of the things i LOVE to do are crazy hoodies with applique material being used instead of stitching for fills.
a few of my favorite flames hoodies i've made over the years...
with these, the large lettering is material and it's held onto the hoodies with the outline stitches.
this is a very popular technique to use when making hoodies for schools/universities/etc - and i do TONS of it!
one of my newest customers wants to offer this kind of style to his customers (especially for grad designs), but he needs samples. right now i'm making up some designs for him that i can put on sample garments - the kicker is i can't use designs for schools that i've done in the past becuz it's someone else's design - so i have to be a little creative.
i pulled an eagle out of a logo i setup in 2006 (the company does still exist, but changed their logo years ago), then pulled together some lettering and came up with this baby...
St. Louis and Colorado both had 8 last year to lead the league. Average team had four.
So cringey how lofty their expectations consistently are in aug-september.
Got definitively worse outside of the net, but will be twice as deep as last year, doubling up on a year where everything went about as well as one could hope for?

That ignoramus has "WFG consultant" in their Twitter description. They probably think that David Staples is an unparalleled genius. Or that Einstein loved God.

In terms of the potential 50 point guys on the Oilers, who is it? McDavid, Draisaitl, Hyman, Nugent Hopkins, Kane... I guess maybe Yamamoto, Bouchard or Barrie? I can't see anyone else being something you'd bet on. Puljujarvi seems like a longshot.
Better question would be who will have more 50 point guys as between Oilers, Flames and Canucks...

A few years ago Nuge, McDavid, Draisaitl and Barrie played well over 90% of their total PP time. Whoever gets the first PP nod will likely get 50 points unless they get hurt. Where it gets tough is unless they change up how the distribute the PP time there is 0 chance they have 8 guys get 50 points. 7 is the max IMO.
This is likely how they distribute the PP time. If anything changes it would be Nuge coming off early.
I doubt Bouchard and Barrie get 50. Whoever gets first PP time will likely and the other should come up short.
Unless Nuge comes off earlier than normal, Yamamoto and Puljujarvi have 0 chance at 50 points. They only did well last year due to Kane not signing until mid season.
It's amazing how their fans/media just can't figure this stuff out.

Strikes me as a cool video game style acquisition, but I don't think Kane is a great fit for Edmonton. Reminds me of when Colorado picked up Kariya and Selanne to add to Forsberg, Sakic, Tanguay and Hejduk. There's only one puck, only so many minutes and understanding your role ends where ego begins. There's already a lot of me first attitude on that team, and it starts with the captain.
That being said, I think Kane is an amazing player and I would have loved him here.
