Sounds like CNN is going the way of Fox News, giving the GOP another outlet to spew their hate

Not that CNN was really good or anything, but that's still pretty lame. It does also feel like that's basically to be expected in the current media context though.

Everything in the United States is disinformation. It used to be you could trust your state or local government to give you the straight poop, but they are lying their asses off to the public in every way as well. It used to be misinformation, but it has grown into flat out disinformation now. It is easy to see why the trust in American institutions is so low. It is impossible to get the truth out of any of them. Government is no longer about governance, its only about assuming access to and maintaining power.

No, they would, you just have to label it correctly. It's not "don't say gay" it's the "root out the child traffickers and child groomers" bill, which stops children from being indoctrinated by the radical-lgbtq-leftist-commy (yes, this forms a single organized group) agenda.

Reliable source was getting crushed by MediaBuzz by a 2:1 ratio. Apparently they want to move away from "opinion broadcasting". Not exactly sure how that's accomplished but I imagine more shows where differing views are expressed as they feel people were tuning out the echo chamber discussions.

Many of their hosts (Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, Brianna Keilar) present their opinions while talking through news stories and isn't enjoyable for me to watch once you notice it. I'd say Wolf Blitzer generally presents the news without an opinion. Both CNN, MSNBC and Fox News all have opinion segments and I guess that's fine if that's admitted up front, but the problem is most viewers don't realize this. Local news in the US and Canada just present the news.

In a democracy where every dollar is a vote, this one donation tips the scales grossly in one direction. Citizens United made a hairline fracture in American democracy. Something like this is a compound fracture.

I don't believe any of this.

Trump went through them himself? I'm pretty sure he can't read.

Lol I was thinking that exact thing this morning.

Trump doesn't read documents, he looks at pictures or pages with pictures and 5 words.

Who told Trump what to keep and why?

I can’t imagine he also packed any of his own stuff up, never mind filing different documents into boxes.
This whole thing is so odd

The Biden administration has announced a student loan forgiveness program that could eliminate up to $20K in loans for those most in need.

Typically I'm a huge fan of Tom Nichols, but he's showing his ass a bit over this today. I get where he's coming from, but this really seems like an outstanding program aimed at people who need it the most.

C'mon Canada...

Someone explain to me the case why student loans should be forgiven for people making >100k when we have extremely high enrolment in universities

You want to help those from lower income? I am all for a 60k cut off potentially

It’s capped at $125k
