Brad revealed that they had a rough deal in place with Kadri for the past week.

I guess those couple of random guys on twitter were right after all about Kadri to Calgary.

He'll be 39 at the end of the contract.

Isn't Kadri 31? So 38 at the end of the contract.
Both Huby and Kadri will guaranteed suck for their final 2 years respectively, I think. I'd trust both to be decent for 3/4 of their contracts (good enough to not cringe at the dollar amount) before that last painful leg.
Just have to prepare mentally for that inevitability. But we get to enjoy lots of great hockey before then.
I hope people don't turn on them at the end like they have with a number of players. By signing these contracts we are accepting them in the twilight of their careers today. Let's not forget that.
You know, as long as they live up to their billing in the first few years.

He’s 31 now and will turn 32 just before the first season. His last season he will have just barely turned 38. He won’t be 39 until the following season after the contract ends.

He was incredible last year. Not just when you look at the production, but the eye test as well. He certainly doesn't look like he is slowing down soon.

My main concern isn’t age, it’s playing style and risk of injury. Dude gets levelled sometime. But now I look at his db and see he plays pretty full seasons every year.

I hope he has a Pavelski-type career curve
If he doesn't, I hope he and Huberdeau really suck towards their contract ends and we win some draft lottos

Kadri is a very effective player in both ends of the ice and plays with a high intensity level. He will elevate those that play with him. As far as a dirty player, hope he runs McJesus through the end of the rink.

Have to assume Tom Wilson is untouchable, but what an addition he would be.
