				 Sean Monahan Appreciation Thread

Tough to see a guy like Mony traded. Dude called Calgary is home since he was drafted(and also mentioned to Ken King and co that Calgary was where he wanted to go before the draft when meeting with them).
Tough to see injuries derail his career, but hopefully he can get back on track soon. Say what you want, this guy was a warrior for the Flames and a great person in the community.

End of an era.
Thanks for everything, Monahan
and good luck!

			My favorite Flame since Iggy.
Sad to see him go. He was the bright spot during the early days of the rebuild, I would have loved to see him play his whole career here like Backs.

One of my all time favourite Flames. My first year going on our annual Penticton trip was to go watch Mony. It's really sad to see injuries derail his career. Really hoping for him to do well, and will always cheer for him, even on the Habs.

One of the best ever to wear the C when it comes to character IMO. Would love to see him put it back together as a bottom six player and be back one day.

Healthy Monahan is better than Kadri will be.
Guess this means the Flames don’t think Monahan will ever be healthy again. All the best Sean, I miss your automatic finish in the slot.

I will never give up hope that he recovers from his injuries and signs with the Flames again one day. So I refuse to say any goodbyes.
At least it’s Montreal… I live near Toronto so they are the only team I like out this way just because they drive everyone I know nuts.

I'm happy the Flames found a place for him as he's a good dude and teammate. It's unfortunate that injuries derailed his career. Hopefully he can get healthy and get back on track.

This one hurts a lot. He battled through so much just to keep playing every year, and was consistently solid.

He was my kids favorite Flame so always had a soft spot for him. When my boy was drawn out of that Boston Pizza contest where you can be a 'Flame for a Day' he immediately went to Monny's stall in the locker room and sat there for like 10 mins just soaking it in.
And lets not forget, for a good while Monny was an awesome center. 25-30 goals, great on faceoffs, basically was our #1 center from day 1 right until the injuries started.

 Hope he thrives in Montreal.

First named jersey I ever bought. Always liked his dry sense of humour and community spirit. When they say they wanna draft a character guy, Monahan is that kinda guy. Wish him all the best!
