Stamps had the Lions dead to rights on a 3rd and 9. Rourke makes an unreal throw followed by an unreal catch by Burnham.
Stamps get the ball back and Bo Levi just couldn't execute.
Playmakers are still the way to win in the CFL. BC has em. Stamps do not.

I'm sour how that ended. Junk call to keep the drive alive. It's a stark reminder how much more refs affect a football game than a hockey game...making me nervous for Saints season.

Yep. You knew Rourke was going to score anyway so even with a miss you give yourself time on the clock to try and comeback.
Stamps absolutely played to lose and it showed. That was frustrating.

I love BLM and what he's done with the franchise but can't throw deep and everyone knows that. You cannot win with 200 pass yards.

Roughing the passer? That was on first down.
Lions moved the ball at will so that penalty was a non factor IMO. The offense’s inability to do anything in the 2nd half cost the Stamps this one.

With the current injuries, the Stamps aren’t that great. I thought Bo played pretty well, until it mattered.

Stamps don't have the receivers to help BLM out. They try to nickel and dime it, but too many times the receivers drop the ball or run the wrong route or get too few yards after the catch. Bo is not the guy he used to be, but with BC's receivers he'd look like a completely different QB.

IIRC Rypien didn’t grow up in Canada, just happened to be born here. This kid went to high school in Canada and I presume he moved down south for football purposes. So could consider him more of a product of the Canadian system.
He still might be a long shot for the NFL. They like their QB’s tall.
