I agree.
The type of losses Russia has taken is staggering. Ukraine and its supporters has made the Russian army ineffective, quite the feat.
For fun recently i looked up Russian stated losses from a Russian source, around 1500 killed, 3800 wounded. If that were the case they should have won by now.
They're going to start acting out of desperation which is worrisome, maybe blow up that nuclear plant where Russian troops are operating out of, blame Ukraine, create a bigger problem then the war as a way of ending it.
Hopefully the Russian army stops following orders and just leaves Ukraine or surrenders when they collapse.

my guess would be they will just allow the Ukrainians to roll through their positions without fighting them, some will run but I'd guess more than a few will just ignore orders and lay down their weapons

I think they’re mostly used to fool satellites and hope to waste precision munitions. Considering the Americans and UK have constant EW planes flying over the Black Sea they probably aren’t terribly useful.

On the other hand, they're dirt cheap, so at least theoretically pretty marginal benefits might still make sense.

Wasting munitions is a massive angle. Precision guided missiles are extremely expensive and even the heavy hitters have a limited supply of them.

Crazy how all we've been taught is that USSR/Russia have done nothing but build up arms stockpiles since 1945 in anticipation of another land war in Europe against a Superpower + allies.
Yet here they are getting their asses whooped by a single country and its NOT named China or the USA.
I wonder how badly a middle power country like Iran could whip their ass if they felt inclined?

Lol! I was watching some news coverage where a specialist in Eastern European politics and power was saying that there were rumblings that after Ukraine Putin is going to set his sights on Poland.
Poland!
One of the most invaded and conquered countries in European history!
Yeah, well, the Poles havent exactly been standing around twiddling their thumbs or anything, that is an armed, trained and prepared Nation.
Poland is the genuine Eastern European "Not F###ing Around" Crew.
Do it Putin. Invade Poland. They know you're coming, they are trained, prepared and equipped. It'll be one quick invasion thats for sure.
"F### around and find out."
If they think Ukraine is a tough nut to crack, Poland might just invade them back!
