I did catering from Jerusalem Shawarma a few months ago.
My order was supposed to arrive at 1:45 pm. At 2, my guests arrived and still no food. So I called and was told "don't worry habibi, it's coming. 5 minutes habibi. "
It arrived close to 2:30.
Moral of the story: Arab food - great.
Arab punctuality - terrible.

Back to Lucic - you'd have to assume there's some cap being retained. He's super cheap cash-wise. $1M in salary ($3M in bonus already paid). I wonder if Edmonton's $750K is part of the yearly salary making him only a $250K cash acquisition.

Or it was a culture of unsafe conditions driven by top level management owning all or multiple locations across the city...
I actually never got food poisonings from them! It was in the news, public info..

Interesting question. I have no idea how that all breaks down. I'd find it absolutely hilarious if Edmonton was on the hook for 75% of Milan Lucic's actual salary this season.

I'd guess $4M salary on a $6M cap hit would make Edmonton's $750k cap retention $500k in actual cash.
Flames have given him $3M in the bonus. So I believe he'd earn $500k from Flames and $500k from Oilers for the year.

Lucic was my second favourite player on the Flames last season, after Johnny. I can understand it making good sense for the team to trade him if freeing up the cap space brings in another really good player, but I would be sad to see him traded nonetheless.

Okay everyone just got a delicious Orange Julius rumor for you all. Please note this is to be taken with a grain of salt but I am not/would not make it up
Was chatting with my boss at work (based in Toronto) he was playing in a golf tournament with someone who knows Kadri/Kadri’s agent and he said that it is definitely coming down to the Flames and Islanders on the Kadri front. Not something we haven’t heard before but this person talking to my boss got the feeling he was leaning towards Calgary.
If Lucic is moved I highly suspect Kadri will be signed to the Flames. Nothing on contract or anything but he told me this is what he heard yesterday and I have no reason not to believe him.
Again just passing on what I heard could be BS for sure. Don’t roast me for it but with these Lucic rumors picking up steam it seems quite a bit more plausible.

Please shorter than 5 years if we sign him. Given the cap space we would have (limited) I could see it being longer to bring down the AAV enough though....
