It’s still a Flames jersey right? If he had refused to wear anything but the latest and something else instead, would that have been better?
That’s why I like Huberdeau already, he probably just saw the Flames logo and put it on, good enough and not a biggie.

No, I’m with you. It’s a big deal to some here, and to each his own, but for me, it’s just not a big deal. There are some jerseys I preferred over others, but I’m not going to complain about piping or patches.

We need to get Huby in every type of jersey before the season starts:
Retro
Flag
Blasty
Pedestal
04 red
Heritage Classic
The guy will be a legend before he even plays a single game.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Given how awful some of the upcoming RR designs are (or sound like they will be), I'd put money on the pedestal coming back.
Gross.

Not sure about the white jersey but the ball hockey red jersey was sent to him by his agent Walsh.

That jersey needs to stay buried forever, along with the flames third jersey from a few seasons ago..

I would like to understand why you think Huberdeau and James Neal are similar players.
You're very, very wrong but I am interested in understanding exactly how a person could think this.

Great post. Especially like how the name is spelled wrong.

For some reason I just can't see Huberdeau kicking off his Flames tenure with a 19-point season.

I thought I was in the wrong thread and the poster was referencing Kadri. The Kadri signing definitely seems like a poison pill that will turn out like James Neal. Huberdeau is harder to gauge. As Byron Bader showed in a tweet elite playmakers have a longer shelf life but not all of them. I think you can reasonably expect he's great until 33, good until 35 and a wildcard up to age 37.

When the Flames signed Neal he was already in decline mode. Hubby is coming off his best season and has been an elite offensive player for years now. Neal was never the offensive player Huberdeau is

He was one of the first to want Iggy out of town. That was in 2006 he suggested trading him.
