Can't say I blame them. A populist conservative candidate that was glad handing with the trucker convoy and giving out free Bitcoin investment advice is as easy to tar and feather as it gets.
That's what people said when Trump ran for election. Don't ever assume that the average voter is overly plugged in to things. PP will likely fair well in the debates and with Trudeau's popularity dwindling as the years go by it could happen if the Liberals are foolish enough to call another election that Canadians don't want.

I look forward to PP debating Trudeau. I hope PP wins conservative leadership and then Trudeau calls an election. If PP interrogating Trudeau over the WE charity is any indication of how future debates will go, it will be incredibly entertaining.

I mean, PP isn't exactly fantastic when asked questions off the cuff either.

Saw a TorStar article via Twitter suggesting the NDP are giving the liberals until the end of year to implement the dental plan for kids under 12. He also wants them to deliver $500 as a housing allowance.

Seems like a tall order to implement such a program in 4 months.

Seems to set the stage for Trudeau to say this marriage no longer works and he needs a mandate, but what do I know.

I’d love to think voters will severely punish him for calling yet another election, but…..

Even though Trudeau essentially faces no credible opposition I dont see him getting a Majority Mandate at this point. Leaving us in the same place we started, again.

Once again, the wheel spins.

Breaking news! Notorious right-wing newspaper prints op-ed about how great their preferred right-wing political candidate is. More at 11!

Well, I have twitter already. Do you have any commentary to add, rather than just spamming the thread with tweets? Surely there is a reason why you felt this was worth sharing?

I always assumed the NP was paying him to do it. Someone wouldn't just do that for nothing, right?

I don’t need your permission. The article speaks for itself and is directly related to Canadian politics. It’s unfortunate you don’t like the message.

Have you seen his commentary?

The less original content he shares, the higher the quality of the discussion.

I agree totally; however, he obviously needs a talking point to justify spending yet another $600 to $700 million to satiate his thirst for unfettered power.

I doubt they'll be an election anytime soon. High inflation, potential for a recession.. just seems like a terrible time to call one.

Its probably from a pure political reason point of view the best time for an election for the Liberals.

PP going through a leadership convention, not having control over the party.
Jagmeet not having a good run and looking a little lame duck, plus if he abandons the agreement, Justin lays the blame of an election at his feet, if it goes that way.

Inflation and recession are probably going to become more prevalent in the fall also energy bills will jump probably in a major way. They would want an election before that happens.

I expect an election in the fall, I expect a incredibly nasty and gross election in the fall.
